They added it early for britain because british mains complained… Sure as it stands now the Gripen A is only one more aircraft you have to grind before getting Fox 3s, but it doesn’t change the fact Britain got a better variant of a Swedish plane.
Isn’t the F-18C a worse version of the F/A-18C, is there really any kind of issues here? Sure I wish Sweden got a better variant right away but WT doesn’t work like that. Just see how it went for the German MiG-23s and MiG-29s getting added later for example.
But at the time… there was 0 difference between both. Neither had their fox 3 and other then camos, where IDENTICAL.

12 months after the F-16 and Mig-29 to me was very late not early. You wanted them to add F-15A, Su-27 and Gripen A, but leave Britain with the Tornado F3 just so that Sweden could get the A before Britain got the C, and then add the C 3 months later to both?
Yeah we’ve got problems with out MBTs too. But instead of complaining only for britain and sh*tting on the US in the process maybe we should just all respect our Nations and wish the best for them? I’m not saying you do it intentionaly, but I’ve seen British mains try to bring down the US in a really disgusting way just so Britain could be on top, and then complain some more, and I think that’s just unfair.
During the Air Superiority dev you and me actually discussed this and I realized that despite your complaining being presented in a seemingly “ungrateful” manner it was actually founded, and you wanted the best for the US Tree too. I think we both realized here that we weren’t ungrateful, what was happening to our nations was simply unfair and we voiced our concerns pretty brutally.
What could be added that would be good enough for Britain before the EF-2000? I certainly did not want the Eurofighter to get added in Air Superiority. Now this would have been game breaking.
The US Air Force is both the largest and the most technologically advanced Air Force in the world, followed only by the US Navy. Don’t you think that should also be represented in game?
All I’m saying is, now that you’ve got the EF-2000, you can maybe tone it down a bit for Air.
well, right now its a WORSE version of a swedish plane (Derbies are very much worse then aim120). BUT the A and C where IDENTICAL on launch?

which… it is? last i recal USA has always been top dog. best RWR, best missiles, BIAS “skill based” BRs (F4S at the same BR as the F4JUK, F15A lower BR then the SU27, F16A at 12.3 (EJ Kai and kurnas 2000 at the same BR))
The Eurofighter, Rafale, and SU-30SM are currently the best fighters in game, the F-15E is strong sure, but definitely not at everything. Now I’m not mad about that. I think it’s fair that this year the other nations get to enjoy a bit of superiority because we’re not far from 5th Gens, and when the F-22 and others drops the US is just going to dominate forever, at least until 6th Gens lol

Well, there was always options like the CF-18 (with the F-18A coming much earlier than this update) or the BAE EAP and be a F-16AJ equivalent, but I’ll leave those there. I was more referring to the fact we got nothing. Not even the BAE Hawk, Jaguar GR3A, Harrier GR9A, Tornado Gr4, Buc S2B, etc etc. Just something to keep us entertained at or below 11.3 as top tier wasnt available to us.
In 2023 we got the F3 in March, which wasnt playable till June. We got the FRS1e in September which was basically a TT C&P of the SQV we got 9 Months before and then we got the Gripen C in December. You telling me that 1 or 2 additional aircraft in that year would have been unfair? (note the US got I think 8 aircraft over the course of 5 updates)
Its when they claim the Abrams is unplayable and the weakest top tier MBT in game… It clearly is not that, and its at that point I bring them down a peg or 2. Yes it has issues, or from what I can gather, one issue (the turret ring) but other that… It blows the CR2, Ariete and Merkava out of the water with ease
I accept the CR2 wont be meta, but come on, at least make it playable, with major things like ammo rack size still not fixed
Not to the detrement of other nations. Thats the point. Quantity of additions and distribution of said additions shoudlnt be dictated by IRL quantity of available options or popularity of said nation. It was stupid the soviets had twice the top tier line-up of Britain when it comes to naval, especially when all 6 nations could have kept relative pace, at least for a little bit.
In terms of top tier additons, I have no immediate need or want for anything else… In terms of air in general… no…
Harriers still need a lot of TLC.
Tornados are still missing loads
Typhoon is still a buggy mess and is screwed over by ahistorical nerfs.
I still want the Hawk
I still want the Gnat
I still want a bomber variant of the Mosquitto.
Just because we have the Typhoon, doesnt mean Britain’s air tree should just be forgotten.

Not at all, I definitely agree with you there. I want British players to get their aicrafts too. What I’m saying is no aircrafts could have been added to “fix” British top tier, because it would either be too mid or too OP. So the complaining was pointless, as much as it is now.
The F/A-18 surely wasn’t going to get added before the F-15. Now wouldn’t you agree that it would have been nice for the US to have gotten the F/A-18C alongside the EF-2000 to have even a semblance of hope agaisnt an EF-2000 or a Rafale, in a dogfight, not even in BVR which is what ARB is all about now.
It certainly isn’t. But both of our top tier tanks have issues, so why should we bring down the other nation instead of just trying to “unite” and get it fixed? That what a lot of the British mains do here, put their tree above everything else, and that’s what I’m agaisnt.
Well it goes the same of the Royal Navy too. US Air is strong and has a lot of aircrafts, yes. But it doesn’t have the Best aircraft anymore. Which again I’ve stated I am fine with. I want other nations to get ahold of Superiority this year before the F-22 and the other 5th Gens that are really close because after that it’s just gonna be USA on top for A WHILE.
Well here we go! I knew you were sane lol. I Think Britain Air right now is very strong, and I am happy for them. Sure we all have some issues or bugs in our trees, for you it’s the Harrier, for us it’s the Aim-54C underperforming etc… But I just don’t get the British mains complaining they got nothing for air this update…
Can probably add any MBT other than the Leopard 2s at this point

The Su-27 is higher in BR for the same reason the F/A-18C sits at the insane BR of 14.0, missile count.
Same for the Royal navy then, no double standards here.
