The F-14B gets Fox-3 as well?

So does the F-14B… They are called Aim-54Cs

there paper weights which weigh 1000LBs and almost never hit if target has a brain

AIM-54C is no way comparable to Aim 120 and Pl12 if it was the navy would not have fazed them out

Yeah, funny that, it’s almost like the Phoenix has a lot more range than both the AIM-120 and PL-12 as a trade-off

ya great but thing is it never hits pop one chaff and turn its gone aim 120s are significantly harder to dodge

And its rather deadly if you dont notch immediately when at altitude

also weighs ten times more

only good aim54 is the FAKOUR cause gotta love event planes

Are they? My experience of Tornado Gr4 vs F-4F ICE and Mig-29s in SB is that the AMRAAMs are WAAAAAY easier to defend against than something like the R-27ER.

AMRAAM are just as easy to notch/chaff and the Aim-54s large warhead can almost make them more danagerous because of the splash damage from near-misses / Multipathing

ER overperforms like crazy i dont know how gaijin thinks sometimes

The Fakour is based on the AIM-54, but it isn’t one.

Even if an AIM54/Fakour doesnt hit you, the splash damage sure will with like idk how much explosives that thing has, including its massive proxy radius

this is the BR range where you stop multipathing cause of splash damage you fly high and notch

Yep, like 95% of my deaths from the Aim-54/F-90 have come from the splash damage and not direct hits.

Maybe you stopped multipathing there, but plenty of people still multipath because they don’t care for BVR LARPing

then you die cause multipathing is not viable really

Yeah, im not bad at notching Fox3 especially AIM54/Fakours, but if they even get slightly close to me and proxy, im ripped to pieces

I must be doing something wrong then, because I usually don’t die while multipathing

you should be notching already flying cold to it periodically deploying counter mesasures
