That sounds like it would have worse muzzle velocity and/or worse filler compared to HEI, which is the optimal ammo to use against planes usually
looking forward to f35 with gau22 (4 Barrel version of gau12)
Me using AP to pilot snipe everything in the air (teammates included)
I mean, 35mm is a higher caliber than 25mm and with two guns you end up with RoF not too far off the Gau-12.
What I meant is I like the Gau-12 for what it is, very capable for it’s caliber and it’s light/compact form factor.
GAU-12 is my ideal aircraft gun, and while not superior to 2x 35mm on dedicated gun SPAAGs, I like the overall package it comes in on the LAV-AD. It comes on a very mobile chassis with Hydras, Stingers, and good thermals. It’s an anti-anything machine.
I understand that it’s difficult to unlock the full potential of this gun on the Stormer AD. They absolutely should be different BRs.
