New Olivia leaklist includes R-77-1 and PL-8B so I want to create a new poll. What will be the most competitive aircraft (only new aircrafts for this patch)?
Egypt just signed a deal for J10CE and was recently delivered :V
For J20 since you didnt specify chengdu so there is the reggiane 2001(Sweden designated as J20) but idk are any captured by the allies
Honestly I could see why they’d be concerned. A well angled standard in the 8-10km range bracket will eat anything under 6.7 and a lot of 7.0s alive. Give a Tennessee a 27sec reload and let all the turrets keep their ammo the whole match and it would be an extraordinary powerhouse instead of just a strong ship. I just wish that they’d pay as much attention to the other outliers. I can’t recall Scharnhorst ever catching a targeted nerf despite dominating the game uninterrupted since La Royale changed crew distribution. If it’s never going to change it would’ve been nice for them to say that in certain terms. Would’ve saved me a week’s evenings reading through the online archives.
It can be useful for SU-30SM, plus canard, making it a good dogfighter in low altitude
but watch out your energy can be really low if you pull too hard
One slight problem, Hong Kong has never had its own military. Its only ever been British or PLA military there.
I adore Hong Kong but the only vehicle representation HK will likely ever get other than a possible air map is the marketplace skin for the Spitfire MK24. That actual aircraft was part of the squadron based at Kai Tak airport. Everything else was just standard units spending time in that wonderful province.
There is also Nina, the only tank in Hong Kong and is a gate guard comet at the Kong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence in Chai Wan, Hong Kong island however I doubt she will become a skin for the comet, there isn’t even a custom skin of her unfortunately
SAP nerf was I think shortly after Alaska was added, led to probably the most balanced top tier I can remember playing. Scharnhorst certainly got stronger but it felt like you still had a fighting chance with HE spam burning it down. What really felt to me like it tipped it was crew all going under armor and the OP change to diving shells for La Royale that was walked back at least. So it’s been strong since introduction, really strong since late ‘22, and egregiously OP since summer ‘23
I understand the fear of these ships being too strong- but they went so overboard that they turned them into jokes.
Most American BBs will just be reduced to atoms upon being hit just once in the barbettes or under these; sometimes even hitting the turrets is enough, as fire/spall travels down the elevators into the shell rooms.
Loss of buoyancy and unrepairable breaches have already been a significant nerf to naval survivability, and should be the main way of sinking ships; not artificial ammo racks…
Destruction of armor plating was a reasonable nerf too- now its only a matter of hits on a plate till it practically disappears.
Therefore, I don’t think Standards would be OP, even if their nerds were removed.
Specially if Gaijin puts further emphasis on flooding damage and sinkings.
