There is like a choice of 6, which should be pretty easy to cherrypick
That Sea Dart could be interesting as a light early anti-ship missile
For missiles wise there is actually a british destroyer of ww2 origin i would actually like to see in the game at some point
Can it even be used for that?
It can, the warhead just shuts off though so it’s basically just a kinetic projectile plus whatever fuel is left when it hits, not very useful against real warships
Might be handy against coastal boats though
The real issue would be with the Type 21/22 and their 4 Exocets, or worse 8 Harpoons on the later Type 22
Yeah, obviously those would be “disabled” for now. Which isnt the first time iirc they’ve done that. Which is why they are trickier. But the Frigates at least would still be fine ish with their primary gun loadout but the key is SAM Frigates which we are lacking and there isnt really a pre-ASM version for that like there is with the County-Class I think
Though with Britain you have room to add their guided missile ships, for the US and Russia it’s a bit harder, Russia has insane anti-ship missiles, and the US has the Standard Missile which are dual purpose anti-air and anti-ship missiles, so they have like 40+ on most of their warships.
WTM from what I undestand is far more arcadey. So not that big of a surprise. I think ASMs in WT are a recipe for disaster
we already have things that could work like that with the Bravy but they aren’t like super strong especially vs anything bigger then a destroyer
yeah, the Volna I believe could also be used as an impromptu AShM
I believe most naval anti-air missiles can be used as AShM with varying degrees of success
yeah
they also have IRIS-T
When is this taken? Im sure there wasnt a destroyer here when I was last in portsmouth
I really don’t care where my nations stuff goes as long as it isn’t premium/event
Is it just me or the F/A-18C’s FM was nerfed?
