I find it funny that Im fairly certain i’ve seen Russians complain about their ships and make comments along the lines that they would love to have the firepower the Hood has. Now they do, they are complaining
Yeah and there’s not much difference between the Wickes and whatever the USS Baker is
Both barker and litchfield are clemsons, Montgomery is the only wickes in the game and is also the lead ship of the class

Russian shells are still underwhelming afaik, and possibly the soviet 406 when the sovietsky soyuz came up, but they can at least hit the broadside of a barn

Russia has a British ship, but Britain has a more developed version of that ship effectively
Like with Britain having the Wickes class with the US having the improved Clemson class

Renown may have less armour but also definetly has 1 less gun.
Hood/Barham/Warspite could be considered " more developed versions" but Revenge is a solid middle ground between the Repulse and Hood imo

I’m not an expert when it comes to ships, but I was about to say, isn’t the HMS Royal Sovereign a more developed ship than the Repulse and the Hood?

The revenge class predates both however royal sovereign is the ww2 refit of the clas

I dont know how the armour profiles all compare to be honest between Warspite, Hood, Revenge and Renown. But they certainly will all have unique strengths and weaknesses

Over Repulse definetly, as we already have her better and more modern sister ship, but not Rodney. Its nice to have something that plays differently to the others, even if shes a buggy mess

It also happens to be the only late war refit british battleship in the game currently as renown is a battlecruiser
