Major Update "Hornet Sting" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

It has better low speed maneuverability no?

Look won’t be the only thing ruined. That would also ruin the stealth part.

not only SPO-15, looks like Su-34’s ECM pods(That are working as RWR, due of Su-34 not having internal RWR) also unable

Are older RWRs in game useless against Rafale’s radar?

Yeah, the F-18 was pre MLU 2 Finnish Hornet, no A2G on that one

1100 T/R modules to the Rafale’s 838 though

fun fact, the Rafale’s radar has half the T/R modules of F-35’s radar

if they have enlarged nose that would be so peak

Fair enough, but that still only makes it a faster scanning normal radar until Gaijin actually implements AESA fully.

seems to be missing AN/APG-82v1, AN/APG-80, and AN/APG-63v2 and v3

not exactly a reliable source

already said it was wiki from the start

It’s more that Wikipedia is not a hugely reliable source, especially for things like this, and that clearly isn’t an exhaustive list

I was asking that because I was wondering whether LPI is modelled in game or not.

I don’t think it is

it would be pretty broken if it was. in a downtier, many aircraft probably wouldnt even know if a rafale was watching them.

then look at the AESA event kfir at 13.0. even an F-14A IRIAF wouldnt know if it was being locked onto probably

And it would be very powerful in sim as well.

they should leave out LPI until it gets to 4th and 4.5 gen jets upgraded with AESA radar and better defensive suites (F-15E w/ APG-82, EPAWSS as an example) that are capable of detecting AESA effectively
