That mean 10 aim120s god damn that would be op
So just got home from work. lets see if there is anything of interest for me this update.
I know, it’s been the subject of many Hornet BR placement discussions.
It’s still 13.7 max, 13.3 if gaijin does the hornet right
The F/A-18A didn’t get its own laser designator it had the AN/AAS-38 FLIR pod, and we don’t have buddy lasing so no laser guided weapons for the A
F/A-18C you can do what you want with that as it got the improved AN/AAS-38A with a built in laser designator
You could even give it the AN/AAS-38B which includes A2A IRST
Russia never adopted the R-77, they exported it, but their first ARH missile was the R-77-1 at least officially
Nope. Tracked Rapier “might” be interesting, but is entirely dependent on BR and performance.
Nothing else of interest, which just gives me a bit of hope that things from the last few years might actually be fixed
More pods with capabilities that aren’t just FLIR/Laser would be very cool to see
When was this made?
AIM-7s can’t be double racked so they’re 120s by default
How the heck would the su30s with trashy r77s gonna compete with 10 aim120s, su30 dead on arrival?
Looking at the trailer, the Rapier is gonna be another case of requiring hundreds of bug reports
Bc the hornet is stupid slow
1993 I believe
So it wouldn’t quite be desert storm. Guess mavericks will have to do
Of course, its British, but BR is gunna be interesting. If its the Mk1, it might finally give us a SAM for about 9.0/9.3. If its the Mk2 then it will be more like 10.0
The 77-1 isn’t magically better, it just has a slightly stronger motor and has the same trashy grid-fin design that they stopped using later on. It’s not going to be that much of an upgrade at all, think 7F-7M.
iirc the grids were changed, and it has a new nosecone
The grid fins are not trashy in reality. It just gaijin messed it up and made them super draggy at every speed, while irl its only draggy in transsonic speeds
yeah, the Desert Storm one should just get TV guided stuff, though Gaijin could give it the AN/AAS-38A as it would be compatible given that the one in the trailer was still an F/A-18C, and they aren’t afraid to be all over the place with features and weapons.
Looking at the JHMCS + AIM-9M combo on all US top tiers
What are you talking about?
F-15JM came out literally the same update as the F-15C MSIP II and BazM, and all came out an entire major update before their other equivalents were added.
Japan was among the first to get 14.0 equivalent aircraft, and it’s still 13.7.
