Anyways, most mentions I can find state a 1k x 1k CCD resolution and a 640x480 FLIR resolution for the Litening III
Ingame the Litening III has a FLIR resolution of 1200x800 however

Look at the Ram tank for example, it’s a cruiser tank, but it’s classified as a Medium.
So who knows.
Might be one of the whole “depends who you ask” type deal.
Germans called the Panthers a Medium tank, while I think the Russians/Americans classified it as a Heavy?

I think it is the resolution of the matrix itself. In addition, aviation optics and guidance systems must have very powerful optical magnification systems that turn the low resolution of the matrix into no problems. I think this also applies to ground-based optical tracking systems of air defense missile systems.
I’m not sure if the game actually supports optical zoom.

Aim120s. The early ones were in dessert storms with only Aim7s the late ones where upgraded literally right after to carry the Aim120.

Okay, this is flat out incorrect.
@TheMAD1626 for you as well:
BOL was nerfed because 2x1 inch flares got bug reported as being standard caliber when they should’ve been large caliber; that was denied, so using that denied bug report, Gripen’s large caliber 2x1 inch flares got bug reported to be small caliber.
Instead Gaijin nerfed BOL pods and later buffed 2x1 inch flares.
