ah yes, two clearly on par vehicles XD
If it’s a late F-2 like he himself has mentioned, they would be roughly equals
If not, an F-16E would be more fair
I’d like an F-2 fan to provide evidence that it even tested HMD, because everyone I’ve asked so far says it never did.
And in case someone says “gaijin wont add a top tier jet without HMD”
Most of the 13.3s don’t have one and the F-16AM does not have one for its Radar
As far as we know it never tested an HMD. An HMD was part of proposed upgrades to it, but that never came to fruition and no F-2’s were modified or tested with one as far as I’m aware. Saying that, Gaijin could always ahistorically give it one, like with the F-16A OCU, but I very much doubt that will happen.
Yea more or less what I know is that it was planned along with AAM-5 use.
I’ve been told that only ADTW F-2s have used HMDs so far, which make sense. However, I have no knowledge of actual production F-2s using HMD, let alone AAM-5 which was the reason for the HMD in the first place.
Pretty much. The OCU is an example that Gaijin can add HMD to F-2 if they choose, real or not.
AAM-5 does not mean HMD. Documents on the AAM-5 never mention HMD sadly. The only mention of AAM-5 paired with HMD is with the F-15J that document was a list of upgrades considered or planned sadly hmd was not one of them that went through to implementation.
Other wise as far as we are concerned there hasnt been a single F-2 to use HMD.
I’ve seen no evidence of any F-2 from any squadron using a HMD so unless it’s confirmed with official documents or pictures I would not rely on hearsay.
it’s said to have large difference, the second pilot is a drone commander, leading a group of unmanned wingman or attacker. But I guess it’s no difference in game.
it’s normal J-20, anyone if the serious can carry external pylons, though usually fuel tanks.
I made this based on Chinese version. are you looking for this? but this is a Chinese version including all Flankers
Given the F-15A and Rafale C F3 both shouldnt have HMD, im sure they’ll find a way
Yea the only info I have is what is already shared in the F-2 thread. But I have seen no pictures or anything with AAM-5 on an F-2, let alone HMD. If F-2 does have HMD, it’s either experimental or only very recent.
I’m in agreement.

Its more likely gaijin will give it hmd simply for balance reasons and just because it was mentioned as a future upgraded as their excuse for implementation.
This is also true and something I like to remind people whenever we talk about what is and isn’t real takes a backseat sometimes for gameplay. Ultimately it’s Gaijin’s choice.
The F-15A doesn’t have a HMD.
Your right, thought it did. The US mains made such a stink of it not having a HMD and somehow used that as an excuse to keep it a lower BR that I had it in my head that it did.
But anyway. More than a few examples of aircraft not having things but getting them for “balancing reasons”.
let’s break down both sides of this.
There is presently NO PROOF an HMD was ever even tested on the F-2
Now gaijin has only recently given a plane a buff, that is ahistorical (F-16 OCU)
However Gaijin has also frequently put planes at high positions in spite of lacking “necessary features” such as HMDs (F-16AM being the highest BR example currently)
So it is gaijins discretion if they give the F-2 HMD or not, but realistically speaking the odds that they do are low by comparison.
The F-15A has HMD since when?
the C F3R did indeed test and use an HMD, the F-15A doesn’t have one.
If anything it should be lower than the flankers since those were meant to beat the F-15
test being the key word here.
Im fairly certain there are other examples of aircraft testing HMD but it being denied, like the Viggen Di for example.
please no their BR is stupid as is
