If it had an official French name, that can be reported with the appropriate sources. Otherwise, it will be known by it’s offical designation on recapture.

You were probably recalling around the time of the dreadnoughts introduction. Britain maintained a fleet equal to the 2 largest navies, which was at the time France and Prussia.
Then Germany came along and then Britain was just directly rivalling Germany in Fleet power.

yeah, I do wonder when we will see a KGV class in game, since I doubt the 10 14inch guns will do much to shake the meta and them not having a turtle back means they wont be as tanky as the top ships of the meta
Going to take a look at how we called that.
But yeah the full long German name would be stupid. AMD.35 (PaK 38) would be logical and simple.

It is wierd why they are so fearful of the KGV. It should be decently survivable still but has firepower equal to pretty much everything else.
If they dont ever fix the 15/16" shell dispersal nerfs. Then having something at top tier with smaller guns, especially with HE shells as well. Would be good
