didn’t the one MiG-25 that went mach 3.2 have to have its engines scrapped due to damage from over speed?

They were built to be easy to fix in remote places with little skill and the engines were built to be disposable rather than reliable.
Mig-25 was just a quick and dirty solution to counter the Valkerie

I mean, if you really just want to fly over mach 2 you just have to climb up far enough in any of the supersonic top tier jets lol
the typhoon can hit mach 2 on the deck (if the airframe wouldnt rip itself apart anyway lol)

They already have Lockheed wont release the source code.
Meteor was in service before the F-35.
UK are a Tier 1 partner yet they have no controls over the source code or the airframe.
Lockheed have prioritised US needs over the other Tier 1 partners.
The knock on from this is everyone is looking at Gen 6 collaborations omitting the US
Yeah… But Mig-25 is not really a WW2 vehicle.

which will be interesting since Gen 6s are kinda like gen 4.5s where a lot more people are working on them compared to gen 5 and gen 4
I know of the french, german project (last I heard it ran into some issue with the germans and french falling out which pretty average when they work on something)
the british one that I think now has japan and sweden? but japan is still looking at their own domestic option as well?
then of course russia, the US and china are all looking into their own
