Major Update "Hornet Sting" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

Declined yet? Surely the stance should be if they operated it will be added at some point?
Instead of we can pick and chose what gets added?

Britain has the F-35B not the A, and different versions of vehicles we already have is about the least controversial thing a sub tree can add

We also have no idea what Gaijin will do about long range radar missiles, but it’s a stretch to say they’ll never be added

guys this vehicle has nuts and bolts made in germany therefore it needs to go in the german TT

Not from the trusted leakers as far as i know so you can ignore it.

The vehicle is literaly german and retainsbits german name. They didnt even botherbgiving it the french name

Sure, but it just feels a bit weird to replace three 8.0 aircraft with two aircraft either above or below that BR, especially ones that are already given prior to the actual removal (making it just feel like they’re taken for nothing).

I understand finding exact 8.0 replacements is hard, but a third replacement should at least be added in the same update these will be removed in. Perhaps a T-1 or Japanese Vampire T55, or another Thai aircraft like an A-37B Dragonfly, maybe even another nations aircraft like an Indonesian Hawk 53, bringing Japan up to the two subtree nations that seem so common now.

Yeah because the super being upgraded alone by a german company for export with no french participation is the same to random components.

French mains just cry the loudest and you are the best example

Bro every time a vehicle that a Frenchman has even looked at goes into another tree, French players have cried about it.

This is a different Russia, you can see that they know they need buyers for this airframe to reduce the cost per unit for the Russian federation and to allow funding for future developments of the Su-57 and the Su-75.

Su-57 also now has combat experience.

From what I read Russia have basically said India can have what they wanted originally. Release/Sharing of technology and freedom to modify the airframe to meet Indias needs.

Algeria are the first customer of the Su-57 there will be others and India would be a major one.

I just want something cool man ;(

How does it make the most sense? They haven’t even chose what they’ll buy yet, definitely looks like it’ll
be the F-35 though.

And the B has no armament difference.
Also I never said never, I said it’s not happening with F-35’s addition, because Gaijin will likely want them to be able to face gen 4 AMRAAM carriers still, which means AIM-120Cs, not Meteors.

For air RB there will be little change.
For air sim, stealth aircraft will likely need their own bracket.

Why specify subtree? Is it not the same for any nation in game?

From what I understand it’s just that everything can be added at some point, but there’s no guarantee it will, right? Or is there some new restriction exclusive to subtrees?

India are nowhere near a Gen 5 they can’t even get Tejas to deliver what they promised. As poor as people perceieve Russian aviation to be be it is not a simple task to build a Gen 4.5/5 airframe without support from a nation that knows what they are doing.

USA is far too restrictive of what an operator can do to an F-35. It would be a bad fit for India.

So not that different from other captured vehicles then? Which Germany also has quite a bunch of.

yeah but these captured vehicles are in the original tree aswell see churchill, p47, kv-2 (kv1b has the kv1e as equivalent with almost no differences). Tanks like the kv1-c were modified by germany

I dont really care about this wheeled vehicle but french mains cry all the time despite have vehicles from other exclusively in their tree aswell

This is it firing the missile, isnt this more than enough to add it? OFC there are a lot to be confirmed like how the missile is etc.

Regarding the AMD 178 KWK39…

Of course, it can be debated, but to me, there are a couple things that validates Gaijin’s choice :

1 - To my knowledge, there are only photos of this vehicle after it was captured by the French resistance. It’s certainly more known for its French service, and it’s not even certain it ever saw combat in the hands of the Germans. If someone has sources that proves the contrary though, then no problem. But the same goes for the 178 KWK42 already in the game in the German tech tree: There are only photos of this variant under German service.

2- Germany already has the Sdkfz 234, 222 and 221 in multiple variants in its tech tree AND the exclusive 178 -KWK42. It doesn’t need such a vehicle. Of course, one would say France didn’t need the SK-105 either, to which I would say : absolutely, and IMO it didn’t need to be added to the French tech tree. There should have been far better choices IMO.

HAF mirage for Italy would be hillaiorus, plus, I dont think any MiG-25 will come to the game, at least in the forseeable future. Fake.

US instability makes any US system procurement a risk.
India has an existing relationship with Russia and Sukhoi.
US will not provide India with the source code to integrate their weapon systems (Astra and Brahmos to name a few) They would insist on India purchasing Aim260s and LRASMS.

Su-57 gives India 5th gen capabilities with the freedoms to upgrade and integrate any weapon system. Brahmos already configured, Astra will fit in the central bay of a Su-57.

What happens if India goes to war with a US ally (not a real one) the US places sanctions on them. They divert spare parts, cancel OS updates and any upgrades they were working on with India are stopped.
