Major Update "Hornet Sting" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

Baby NGAD

Direct the drones to destroy things.

Can also be expended to further your overall goals

Is it recent ? Some of them fly or just a project for now ? The picture don’t look like what i can found now.

The first succcessfull flight of the nEURON was ~12 years ago, not bad huh ? :p

So, make them like the AI aircraft that only recently got changed not to destroy ground targets. Sounds bad.

and what does that even mean? could you try being more vague?

You could probably put a HARM on a couple and direct them to rush enemy AA

You’re not selling it to me, like I said, do we really want more aircraft in our matches, regardless of what they’re doing?

Maybe limit them to sim and hopefully air rb ec

Would fill it out and make it more active

Yeah, long ways off though, hopefully we get ARB changes to flesh out the gamemode some more anyways

Basic datalink and friendly/enemy ground based radar systems would set up for many future additions to air rb

They have turret-module models, and the loadouts including them are ingame - it doesn’t seem impossible for them to come. They just haven’t yet.

As well as an AWACS over the runway providing spotting until it’s destroyed, could be interesting to see how people play differently when they have more information available to them

For lower BR, ground installation providing very basic info. For jets that had early datalinks like SAGE interceptors, ground installation providing more extensive info.

As it gets higher, shifts to both AWACS and ground radars, and information sent increases, peaking at top tier with AESA AWACS

That’s pretty cool, is it full stealth too? Ours has laser which is why it was so late i believe. Also is full American data link capable meaning enough of them can be makeshift awacs.

IDK about yours but ours is also fully anonymous and can help with a lot of things. ECM EW anything really

Look at X-62, full AI controlled F-16

Is that the one with thrust vectoring too? Pretty much beats anything 1v1

Yeah, it has quite the track record

Yes it does very interesting aircraft.

Which one do you prefer the X-62 or the F15 STOL/MTD?

Also lowkey crazy seeing a single engine aircraft thrust very of like that and stay in the sky.

That’s a tough question.

X-62 has the distinction of being the first AI controlled aircraft to carry out an engagement against a human pilot.

But STOL/MTD formed basis for F-22 Thrust vectoring iirc

It’s a stealth unmanned drone. Now i don’t know it’s real stealth capabilities ^^

I would guess data link to to go with next Rafales F5.

We are also working (early stuff only for now afaik) on a domestic drone to replace the reaper drones that we use, the MALE/AAROK:
