Nukee subs aren’t meant for “sub-to-ship” or “sub-to-sub” combat, they’re made to get to an area without getting shot at and dump a full load of missiles
Which is why they don’t have the best capacity when it comes to torpedoes

Yeah, till radars are upgraded and can spot better stealth planes, then if the massive advantage you have over others are stealth, it’s bad.
Also if you use your F35 with maximum payload (like some under the wings if it can), stealth is lost.
Yeah, having a proper AEW&C is a huge deal, unfortunately the one major downside of ramped carriers, we have to use a helicopter based one

Kinda more like a modification to an aircraft. The squadron was originally F100F I believe but the idea of “wild weasel” is to use a freind to get a SAM to launch. When that happens they fire an Anti rad missile to kill it.
It is VERY dangerous because you have to hop your friends missile kills the sam site before it kills you.
Here’s an example of one of them dodging some sam’s. (He was the only survivor I believe) Start at 3:00
That’s sound plain sad (and almost stupid) to me.
F-35 is capable of performing AWACS mission, not as good as an E-2 tbf, but combined with data sent from onbaord sensors and other ships, you get a good picture of battlespace

It’s not sad it’s effective. This one was a bad mission. The balls on these guys make the success rate what it is.
That’s why I said they F/A-18 growler was better because of the men who fly it.

Well still it’s dangerous becuase the SAMs have also improved.
Dunno, using a plane and its pilot as bait for missile as the main technique for doing SEAD remains silly in my eyes.
Not saying it’s effective or not, but you just don’t really value the life of the pilots.
not enough to effectively outrange an AARGM, or JASSM if its a really fixed position

as a general rule the ships won’t be using their radars, it gives away your position much better than it tells you the enemies
maybe if they used Rafale theyd be in more danger, but in a growler or F-16 they would be fine
