Major Update "Hornet Sting" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

Yeah, has anything like this ever happened before?

super-hornet before MiG31 is crazy

You are alive?

Closest thing I can think of was the Gripen A and C, but they ended up being mostly the same ingame after a while

Super Hornet before Gnat and Hawk is even crazier

Except Gaijin saying in CM Disclosure No.4 that the 77-1 doesn’t offer much of an improvement over the standard 77. So it’s not a comparable missile to the 120C5 😮‍💨 in their eyes.

So basically as a Flanker Cultists that I am…I have to wait to get the Ramjet 77M to have a competitive BVR Fox 3 😮‍💨

Yeah, coming back (a little?) after some good break.

Testing naval costal from mycountry but damn 1x2 7.7mg against everybody that have 10 time this firepower is pure torture. Dunno who in Gaijin throught it was a good idea to give thoses 4 similar ship as starter.

And why we still miss the funny ones like the Sherman barge, or the ship with FL turret (amx13)

I mean, if the India crowd gets their wishes fulfilled you’ll be able to get a Flanker with better Fox 3s in the British tree lmao

Or get the best flankers built by AVIC-SAC, you know, these things eventually will get missiles thats beyond R-77M and R-37M by a big margin.

I think the only time this will happen again is addition of the 3 F-35

With the F/A-18E likely coming it will add the alr67(v)3 rwr to the game, does anyone know the coverage it has?

Why though, when it would be perfectly fine to add it in a separate line?

Ok uuuummmm when we are talking about War Thunder…do we really think we are going to see missiles and maps that let you engage beyond 200km…🤨 as much as that would be cool imo to see the SM6 and R37M on the jets that can take them…Gaijin will have to do an Engine update to make that happen!

Well if you go down the AVIC-SAC flankers, you will eventually get an option for a hell lot of rocket-propelled - not ramjet-powered LRAAM that goes up to 200km or more. High resolution thermal pod, and a variety of A2G standoff weapons. Prevelant usage of AESA radar as well.

I get what you’re saying…but that doesn’t answer my question!

I mean, if people really want them to be seperated I won’t object to that lmao

Just thinking about how foldering one of them would make sense (3 variants of a plane that are mostly the same for regular gameplay) AND reduce the grind for people

If any of them should be foldered, it should be the C, given that the B was the first to see service, and the C came around like 4 years later, but honestly splitting them 3 ways works fine, and given that there is nothing to come after them, Gaijin have said they don’t want to add folders to the final aircraft in a tree, so it would actually be weird if they did it here

Huh, didn’t know that they actually said that they don’t want folders at the end of a tree (guess that must be limited to planes as well, coz the Challenger 2BN/2E and the Type 10/TKX are foldered and at the end of the column).

Would you want this

No
