If it’s 120… well, could work with that, using countermeasures thoughtfully.

yesn’t. The reason the Typhoon is still the defacto best, is that while they sit at two extremes in best performance. The Typhoon is right there with the Rafale for close range flight performance as well, it just lacks the missiles for it.
Meaning it’s overall still better while the 15E and Rafale are two different extremes.

The US did tests with them as well, so they’re compatible, I just don’t know if that compatibility carried over to the Super

this is a BIG difference in BVR performance. The Rafale would be worse than the Typhoon at BVR even if the MICA’s had the same effective range as the AIM-120s.

Yeah I saw that they tested them. Don’t know if the integration carried over. Doesn’t look like the navy kept interest in BOL.

If you are getting intercepted by 120s from a Typhoon at 40+ Km that really is a skill issue.

Just means India is going to have to provide its value for air, so MKI is almost necessary without a top tier MBT.

listen bro I’m not in the mood to debate with someone who keeps shifting the goalpost.
The original point was that the comparison of the MICA to the AIM-120 was ridiculous because they’re missiles that excel at two different things.
I added on to that that in spite of the MICA existing since Seek and Destroy, the meta jets at top tier have (and still are) the fastest jets with AIM-120s due to BVR performance.
You then came out of left field with this out of nowhere comparison of “well what if the MICA had the same range as the AIM-120” (which is a stupid hypothetical because it doesn’t, but I entertained it)
The Typhoon still has the speed advantage which matters a lot in regards to BVR. (it’s the reason the F-15E and Typhoon are considered the best jets for their respective times)
Then you run to the next excuse of “well it’s just skill issue”
