No. It’s like complaining that a nation isn’t getting a light tank it could get, and someone says that it’s because irl there was no doctrine for it- while there is actually irl options it could get ingame, but then it is deemed that “it would be too good”.
There is no Fox3 that will pull as well as the MICA EM, however that is because there doesn’t need to be, at the ranges where it matters, missiles like the 9X, ASRAAM, etc. will all do the same thing, arguably better, on account of the IR seeker being able to lock more reliably, so once those missile come, the MICA EM will be perfectly balanced
I don’t need the misile to be identical to MICA, but an upgrade would be nice.
Same reasoning as with M1A2 SEPv3. I don’t need it to be identical to Strv 122 and I don’t expect it to be; but it would still be a nice upgrade to SEPv2.
The way I see it; most successful engagements are all <12 km, because, past that range, it becomes very easy to evade missiles with defensive maneuvers. So I think a missile that excels within 12 km is better than a missile that theorically can hit targets 600 km away, because people at those ranges will defend and evade anyway.
Regardless, it appears that the consensus is that AIM-120A is enough, so… yeah, I will just zip it when it comes to planes and missiles. As I said, this is outside of my area of expertise, so I prefer not to talk about something I may be wrong about and I admit it xD
India never got any, Instead they go for domestic T-90S modifications.
It’s best to place the T-90MS variations in the Russian branch where they actually exist.
If they’re going to buff the MICA, which they should, it should be after everyone else gets an upgrade as well, like with the Magic 2, if that thing had it’s current capability when it was added, it would have broken the game
