Major Update "Heavy Cavalry" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 4)

Iraq (BASRA)

bosnia and kosovo

and the current one which i dont think i can speak of

A lot of fights against sheep herders with RPGs and not much else

In fairness, this is the Challenger 2E which had a different power pack and cooling, so it’s not very representative.

Still out accelerated the M1A2 however

Tank on Tank combat not Tank on Inf

It’s fought against glorious T-55s the most

oh no not the T-55s good thing UK built a tank to take them out looks at the chally mk 2 and mk3

if you can find the document ill have a look at it but from what i know the challenger 1 and challenger 2 only look similar and share almost nothing irl, the challengers hull armour was upgraded with next generation chobham

(i think) this is a shot from a t80 on a challenger in that place near russia on the ufp and non penned it.

Spoiler

this is the challenger 2E. that used a completely different powerpack and the “Ammunition problems” i believe was because the british used L23A1 and something was outdated i dont remember the thing correctly

the challenger 2 in the british army won iron spear in 2023 performed very well in every conflict its been in and is continuing to do so, no its not gonna outperform the 2a7 as it was built in the 90s.

i cant send it here but i have a video of a challenger blowing up 2 T-80s if that means anything

I repect it and the opinion. I get it from the Challenger POV.

I have been waiting for the SEPv3 for 2 years now so it coming, alongside a turret ring fix, is just the biggest update in years for me. Even if they make the LFP ~500mm vs KE max it will already be a considerable upgrade.

I only care about the F-16AM because it’s dutch. I doubt I would even have grinded whatever new French vehicle Gaijin could have added unless it’s a new/better Leclerc.

Depends on which vehicle. The Excelsior will be commiting warcrimes of biblical proportion upon 4.0 with APHE so I doubt it will take long for that to move up.

I ment before 2022

Me looking at Ru251 being revived and renewed with greater powers (90mm APHE):

they also destroyed T-72 in 2003. (lots of them)

the sepv3 will be great and im happy for my australians out there that they get to use there most modern mbt but as a brit i dont have reason to play any of the challengers anymore and thats sad.

oh i garuntee it will but theres some vehicles that wont need to go up but i wouldnt put it past gaijin to do it anyway

I would agree on past conflicts yes, but in the current one (which it’s really not suited for imo) not so much.

according to the crews using it there loving it, sure its got a few issues on the soft terrain but there using it as a artillery mbt. sitting back using drones to locate convoys then taking them out in quick succession

That’s not how it works. They aren’t going to write germ_destroyer_lutjens_class_molders instead of germ_destroyer_lutjens_class_lutjens just for the fun of it.

I do hope we see the Molders in the update since we saw a bunch of camos tied to it in the files of the last dev server, probably the most interesting thing for me personally

I defiantly wont say no to more missile armed ships in the game, personally hoping to finally see the County Class or even the Type 42 class.

ive already got the Bravy, im about maybe 50k RP from the Lutjens and then im still a decent way from the Charles F Adams making it my goal to acquire all the missile ships (not including costal as the costal grind is awful)

In this case it is no doubt an useful asset, but for general indirect fire rather than fortification or vehicle busting you’d probably want a tank with more potent HE, just comes down to the situation

True, I’d imagine it’s because it is also a lot more comfortable compared to their standard options

i meant more there using it as a big sniper rifle against T80s and stuff, but the HESH is suprisingly good irl (warthunder gets it wrong)

its much better than old T72 or oplot or whatever so yeah

I mean tbf the Ukrainians also said the same to all NATO MBTs they received, they thoroughly enjoyed using the Leopard 2s, Abrams and Challenger 2s they received.

Even the Russian forces that captured a perfectly operational 2A4 stated that it was much better to drive and more comfortable than their T-80s.
