Major Update "Heavy Cavalry" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 4)

This is the frustrating thing…There are sooo many vehicle suggestions available but we’re down to copy and paste - this doesn’t seem right and leads me to believe the creative spark has withered and died within gaijin.
C & P plus premiums - job done, slap a sticker on it no one will figure it out - Gaijin maybe

I actually double dare Gaijin to actively make an effort for the next major and produce new and unique vehicles from the current suggestion lists with no hint of a copy and paste

It all goes on technical compatibility. Unless there was something to show that something was removed from the Washington that stripped out its ability to carry American bombs, its open to use those too.

So its open to both American bombs and also any British ones it could use / there is evidence of it being able too.

i mean this Update i can only thing 1 c&p in the regural TT and its the Leo1a5BE(exept if you count the SepV3 and T90M arena C&P) , the premiums where copy and paste and that’s a good thing

what if Gaijin is making these copy and paste premiums to invest money and time into making the Polish tech tree and modelling vehicles for it 🤔

The aussie abrams? The m60? The Puma? The japanese Leo2 that’s basically a PL?

That’s a variant…

(unique turret, slightly different hull, different FCS (magnification would be different) and Belgian shells).

Yes well it is quite difficult to prove the absence of anything, including the non-use of a specific bomb by a more than 70 year-old aircraft.

I hoped that the absence of the US 2000 lb and 4000 lb bombs from British manuals would be a strong argument, but it seems Washington will initially be a mix of both good and bad copy-paste elements.

Happy to see it come to the game regardless, the rest can be worked on.

non regular TT??? exempt the one Aussie the other is still non regular TT

a better PL that they still haven’t model correctly and still no C&P its a variant

i mean they didnt add the Belgium shells to make it more unique, but i hope they add them

2PL is still missing its spall liners btw

does the 2RI got them?

So, no R-27P/EP? :(

Copy-paste isn’t a blanket black and white situation, it’s a spectrum. Some things are 100% unique, some things are 100% copied, most things sit somewhere in between.

Should something like the Finnish Leopard 2A4 be considered a unique vehicle because it gets a different stowage basket on the turret and a different roof MG? Not really in my opinion, and I’d imagine most people agree with that.

Is the Leopard 1A5BE unique because it gets a different gunners sight (that as far as I’m aware is functionally identical in-game to the German one, but this may be wrong) and some reworked internals, that again have zero effect in-game? Again, not really, in my opinion, and in most peoples opinions it would seem. It isn’t 100% copy-paste, but it is far, far closer to being 100% copy-paste than being 100% unique.

And yes, I’m aware of the ammo options that could make it a little more unique. But that’s not how it was added, and considering it was added specifically to fill out the 9.3 lineup, I have my doubts about them arriving, especially the ammo that would be meaningfully better than DM33. But I’d be happy to be proven wrong.

just for the SU-27/33 and give the 33 the anti ship missile it could carry, imagine being a naval fighter without any anti-ship capabilities

I don’t think so

There have been fighters without anti ship capabilities all across naval aviation history

list some of them

yea i am talking in game and Su-33 had anti-ship missiles irl, and yea i agree with Code 649 list some

The 9.3 lineup they specifically ruined to help fill out a non-existent 9.7 lineup
