I don’t oppose more uparmored Leo 2s. Just not uparmored Leo 2s with APS when everyone else gets considerably worse “equivalents” again.

yeah, then there is the issue again, there is nothing of western equal to the 2a8, there is no point punishing germany when other countries just dont have anything better.
2a8 is the tank that 2 nations can get right this moment and in the future france as well. Its the most balanced addition in the way multiple countries can get it. Sweden as it is mbt wise is dead.
2a7a1 is “wasted” ressource development, since no other country can get it.
French can get the XLR, but without APS most tech demonstrators of france, well those go to germany as well and have the Leo chassis as well.
italy is a good bit away as well, maybe a tech demonstrator in a few weeks, but we see at chally 3td, how gajin likes TDs as well.
Meanwhile 90s Russian designs are either ignored or soft paywalled (squadron)

as of now leo2a7v features dm53, if you wanna add right now the 2a8, when do you want to give bullets such as DM83? (that btw challenger epsom is also listed of usage)
adding a leo2a8 without DM83 is redundant and feels like the Leclercs: restricted a ton with a bullet quite older then them
So, with the J22 officially announced in the trailer, I am now curious. I personally suspect it’ll go to Russia, but I’ve seen arguments here for it going to Italy instead. What we thinking?
