the buff is the turret ring switched to volumetric, in theory it should make it immune to 30mm apds
but thats about it
I did hear something about the sides having been buffed as well
again only really protects vs 30mm apds which almost every western tank with any kind of warkit should be immune to 30mm APFSDS but here we are where western ERA gives barely any KE protection
I mean the SEPv3 is my favorite Abrams irl in terms of looks, so even in it’s current botched implementation I’m really fucking excited for it.
However that doesn’t change the facts. That the SEPv3, the most modern in service M1A2, is somehow the worst 12.7 Abrams in game is pretty much a fact and a wild one at that.

The side armor is currently buffed yes, but also heavily WiP.
The front half of the sideskirts are at the moment both 65mm RHA and a full composite plate in the same 65mm thick sideskirt, which is just physically impossible. So the 65mm RHA value is likely WiP.

I remember reading something about it being 39mm of RHA which would bring the protection way down

Are the devs currently looking at Danish MH-60R as a potential option with their procurement of Hellfire rails which can also mount JAGM and we have also seen US MH-60’s fire JAGM
Considering the UK’s option for a Leo 2A6 is the 2A6M CAN, it might be slightly worse than the base 2A6, due to the mine protection giving it a thicker floor, which should make it slightly heavier.
Like, don’t get me wrong, I still want it in the UK tree for a Canadian lineup, like the Australians are getting this update with their Abrams.
