We have 105mm DM63 in game, it’s closer to 120mm DM23 than it is to 120mm DM33.

I misremembered, I was thinking of DM23, I thought 33 was the round 2A4s got by default, it’s DM23. Edited my message.
With that out of the way, yes as you said they’re on par with one another. DM66 105mm, compared to DM23 120mm, trades off 200m/s speed for better penetration stats across the board.

Was the whole British APHE thing a issue with logistics in real life? They developed the shell but basically never got to the frontline making a belief that the UK had no APHE shells for there tank?

They made experimental APHE rounds and never liked the outcome in tests
These are the two answers I could find online I know the UK tree need the shells so are they production shells or just experimental or a mix of both?

I have a question.
I know this will definitely not happen on this major but is there a chance that france could possibly receive a new apfsds round for the leclerc series in the near future?
Since France has 3 available options(OFL 120 F2, F1B and SHARD), i think it would be a good idea for the leclerc to get a new round in order to keep up with the addition of newer and more armored tanks in the future.
Am also saying this because some rounds will probably get anti era tips next update (L27A1, M829A3, M338 and DM53).

The 2AV is not a 2A4 tho. It lacks thermals, uses DM33 105mm notably (even if only slightly worse it’s worth mentioning), features worse turret armor but better upper hull armor, and has worse mobility. That vehicle receiving thermals and DM63 105mm would place it at the same BR as the 2A4s.
You can also be 50 called through the turret ring frontally in the 2AV lol
yea they will be both 10.7, the DM63 is in the same level of the DM23 if not better
