Ground is held to much different terms than air. Ground could be a lot more interesting if it wasn’t so restricted though, especially if it had rules like naval.
I agree but at times it seems to still bend the knee XM800T got rounds cause it would likely have them. Then you had all the other ammo changes and consideration. I will say it’s hard get things through cause they either get corrected to actual value or get waved as a balance decision.

I’d like to bring attention to something that I’m sure a lot of people feel quite strongly about. The recent revealing of the F14D coming to the game. I will keep professional despite my very strong feelings toward the addition of it as a premium. I would like to propose a common middle ground.
Proposal:
F14D(R) - Premium:
Same loadout it has
F14D ROVER III - Tech Tree Vehicle:
Same flight model and other characteristics as the F14D(R)
Added ROVER III upgrade (Remotely Operated Video Enhanced Receiver)
OPTIONAL UPGRADE(S): Added AIM-120A/B capability

Well, as of recent, gaijin has stopped being truly “historically accurate”. The reason I added it as an optional inclusion is to make the tech tree vehicle feel more superior to the premium vehicle, rather than being a copy and paste addition for a poor attempt of reasoning with the community.

Quick question: wouldn’t the Amagi variant we have in-game then be an exception to that rule? Given that, according to the devs, it’s based on the 1919 Preliminary drawings rather than the finalized design that was laid down.

What do you mean? It was an option they successfully tested it on the F-14A but by the time the 14D was coming in they had already decided they were not keeping it and didn’t want to spend the money on that upgrade. It is in the same realm as the R27 on the IRAF or any of the missiles on the YAK-38.
