Well, we do know a 1500hp variant of the CV12 was designed for the Challenger 2, just not put into production.
1120kw = 1500hp
The CV12 and TN54E transmission could always handle 1500hp, but the Challenger 2’s cooling couldn’t, the CR3 has improved cooling which may allow it.

Why would the navy spend time/money to put Aim120 on a F14D when the f14A-65-gr that tested equipment for the f14 in general tested Aim120A FOR the F14D they already knew the aim120 is capable of being carried on a F14 sparrow pylon and that it could be launched from the f14 airframe also the apg71 was literally designed to be next gen so it could use more modern weapons like the gbu/jdams and new air to air missiles an harms,harpoons,agm65 and so on until funding cuts reduced the apg71 capability to where it could only get lantirn package at the end with out aim120 where both were already to be included
Edit: witch is why the digital upgrade to the f14D was so big because it was supposed make it like f15E with all the different types of armaments it could carry

I don’t understand because you guys obviously guessed the armor for the turret on Sepv3. The turret and hull use the same armor package lol (NGAP). So why can’t you make the same guess on the hull? Legit, it makes no sense. It really feels like selective bias here ngl.

As we saw with Igla and Stinger, the devs are the foremost expert on everything military related, so if they say something is one way and not another, then its clearly true. There is absolutely no chance that the devs can possibly be wrong. So clearly when they say that a NATO tank is made out of wet paper Mache and soviet tanks are unkillable because there is no possible way that anyone could build something better than the soviets, it must be true
