The M829A3 should have better peformance against ERA according to what was said on the dev stream.
It does not appear to be on the dev server yet though.
i will say the sepV3 as it stants in a sidegrade to the SEP V1 but the SEP V2 trophy its def an upgrade, specially since it gets an aps, but they also get new M829A3 ammunition to stand with that upgrade

Not by much though. Trophy also adds about 2.3 metric tons of weight iirc.
And there have also been pics disputing that.
The M1A2 trophy is a sidegrade to the SEPv1 (more weight → less mobility but APS as a tradeoff).
SEPv3 at this point is almost a downgrade to the SEPv1. The ~100mm extra KE protection does not make up for the weight increase and thus mobility reduction it will receive when they change it’s WiP weight value.

It does! Against the K-5 it was designed to defeat.
Now, all K-5 tanks are basically butter to the M829A3-armed Abrams.
For example; T-80U’s armor against M829A2 provides 630mm, which stops the 621mm pen shell at most angles and ranges; but against M829A3, it provides only 575mm, which is, by far, insufficient against the 624mm pen shell.
Even if the penetration does not appear to be much higher, the effectiveness against K-5 is MUCH higher!

2a8 still is only a sidegrade to the 2a7v, essentialy being lws and APS, its pretty much the same sidegrade step as the current APS Abrams and T90M are to their original.
2a8 ends up being filling for 2 right now and future 1 more tree

The current SEPv2 without tusk is 63.0 tons, the M1A2 trophy without tusk will thus be around 65.3 tons and the SEPv3 without tusk will be around 66.8 ton.
So yes the M1A2 trophy is closer in weight and mobility to the SEPv3 than to the SEPv2.
(And the SEPv1 is slightly less heavy than the SEPv2.)
