i mean speaking for myself and probably most challenger mains here i really wanna see that ready rack and spall liner buff the spall liners ESPECIALLY with the turret basket addition but im happy with this update in a way because im glad my aussie friends are finally being represented in the tree they want to be represented in and im happy i get to play an abrams but now the challengers are practically useless which as a brit hurts to see
i mean smin idk if you played the challengers but if you have i would like your genuine opinion on how they perform and how you think there going to perform after this update
thats perfectly fine but the challengers being prioritised for a basket over the T80S and T90S is wierd to me consideing yes they have an autoloader module it isnt connected to the turret drive in any way ingame when it is irl leading it to be less of a nerf over the challenger or abrams etc the challenger for example having its hull floor not connected to the turret drive irl but it is ingame and just overall the challenger series of tanks performance when compared to everything else and hitting them with another nerf
i really like this update but the challengers getting hit with the turret basket nerf with a small breech armour buff which is welcomed feels like its not enough and i know it seems like nothings enough for us brits but your welcomed to prove me wrong with more challenger buffs this update (hint hint)
specifically the spall liners on the lfp and hull side the ready rack the l27a1 pen buff and l27a1 anti era capability would be great
i played the game before turret baskets but i wasnt expecting them to come to the game in this state
Hi Smin, you recently said that the UK was the preferred tree for Australian Vehicles. Can you say if the same is true for any potential future New Zealand additions? The two are very close, and where one should go, the other should as well.

But why is it the players job to figure that out? I mean look at tanks like the Type 10…you think its armor is real? No even we dont know what its armor looks like its all estimated by gaijin. So why cant they do that?
Well, the only 2 so far are in the UK tree too :)
But we don’t have anything spesific to announce for them currently.

AFAIK there are published estimates for the Type 10, which Gaijin based their figures on.
The issue is that they are usually in a broken state.
Ajax missing spall liners and still having a load of other issues.
Sky Sabre is barely functional at the moment, the CAMMs are underperforming loads, they miss everything, they dont even have DL enabled at the moment.
And now theyve added ALARM (which doesnt work currently, so cant comment on how it will perform) but is being arbitarily gatekept for nonsensical reasons.
And on and on and on. Its just annoying.
because obviously the devs think the SEPv3 armor package is just an export M1A2 armor package from the early 90s with 150mm RHA plates welded over its turret cheeks
If there are estimates for Type 10 (a very well secretive tank for research purposes) then there must be and probably has been tons for the Abrams so i still dont see why its the players job to do their work
Even hull armor is getting some buffs so now we have to be patient what gaijin will cook in near future
long story short SMIN all im asking is will you help us with the challenger as its considered the worst top tier tank and is being nerfed again, thank you and i apologize i am happy with the additions this update just not the decisions with the challengers.
clearly there will never be an abrams in game with any improved hull armor
its pretty obvious when they close reports for hull armor which has sources mentioning armor and suspension upgrades because “we believe the suspension hasnt been upgraded”
like they cant make it any more blatant

The side armour seems to be bugged, even if it shows 101mm it still have the 30mm original value, the area around the turret does seem to be a proprer volumetric model, that being said they seem to be making an overhaul on the m1 model.
I have had my reports on the Ajax’s armour denied based on them being estimations, so I’m not sure this holds true all of the time. There are no unclassified documents or sources about the Ajax’s armour values specifically, so in this regard I’m confused as to why it was denied.

Yes but still is WIP so be patient.
i remember making a bug report on this exact thing and they denied it.
I made some old post about the neck armor on the abrams should’ve been variable thickness and it was denied

but the reality is, never been tuned to a higher value in any variant with the Perkins
night and day difference versus 30mm APFSDS from BMP-2M 500m
By estimations, I’m referring to estimations coming from sources, not estimated deductions based on user opinion or images.
If sources are providing valid estimations of protection improvements or values, these are open to consideration.
So there are differing types of “estimations”.
