Major Update "Firebirds" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

SU-34 one works like normal radar with PD and PD TWS modes while on Super Etendard its nothing more than your regular Pulse radar except it cant detect targets in search mode and can only lock on things with ACM. It doesnt see ground clutter tho.

Spoiler

Very strange implementation so far, not much to do with PESA other than not seeing ground clutter.

HMD not HMS

just you wait to see the Serbian HQ-17AE in Soviet TT.
Well there is always the type 625E or FK-2000 which probably is better than pantsir in every way.

They better not lmfao.

My lawyer has told me to not respond to this comment

What do you mean by detect targets in search mode?

I mean regular scan mode. Radar just cant see

F-15E only equipped AN/ZSW-1 IDL instead AN/AXQ-14 ?

And F-15E from dev server no AGM-130A, AGM-130A-1 and AGM-130C ?

F-111C equipped AN/AXQ-14 like F-111F ?

smaller stuff like BOL US community is proven effective

Yes, it is. You don’t need 4k and 1000fps. 1080p and 60fps is not an expensive pc.

if your being sarcastic, please put /s it is sorta hard for ppl like me to pick up on lol

if not, early eurocanards are equivalent to things like super hornets, and F-15’s/upgraded F-16’s so logically theyd come before an f22

they havent even started on tranche 5 i think lol, but fair points. i think itll still be good at more normal dogfight speeds but eft canards will come into play more so it might be a bit worse.

Is WT server down again?

I think so

Although I can still log in to gaijin store

I got on, just for a few minutes apparently.

The store is always the priority for the servers.

When everything is down including the store, then you know something is wrong

The IDL was introduced sometime in the late '90’s early '00s, and the F-15E retained backwards compatibility with the earlier pod(s), as they were remanufactured from the AXQ-14 over time, as the shell and hardback were retained with the improved datalink.

As far as I know all it will receive is the GBU-15, but may get the alternate IIR seeker / Mk84. warhead / Short chord variant, potentially in addition to, but may replace the existing Electro Optical seeker version that is otherwise present on most US Aircraft.

Yes, for use with the AGM-142. In the following image the AXQ-14 can be seen on the; dedicated rear, center-line station that the F-111’s have specifically for the datalink.

AXQ-14
