That is a concern for later, luckly we are most likely looking at CF-188 IMP I, which is F/A-18A+ equivalent, at most slightly better as it was a 2000s upgrade.
So if the CF-188 come now it won’t be an over-tiered plane due to weapons, however, it can only come now unless we get a proper home for Canada.
So we’ll yes the Aussies have Super Hornets those can’t come until later but they can come later.

I thought it would come after F-15C, or be placed at the strike aircraft line, but nope; bomber line.
So now I question even where F-18 would go. Who knows, maybe they place it after F-15E, in which case, I better get going with that line already…

And it wouldn’t be the first time we got an NPC vehicle from Enlisted either, the C-47, Ju 52, and armoured train, among others, precede it.

Nope, it’s on the bomber line.
Up until Rank VII (F-105), that line consists exclusively of medium and large bombers; B-25s, B-26s, B-17s, B-29s, B-57s…
I thought the A-10 line made more sense; a line which, from Rank I to Rank VIII, actually involves strike aircraft and not bombers; such as P-61s, AD-2/4s, A-7s, A-4s, etc.
Now, I don’t have access to F-15E because I could not foresee multirole strike fighters would be ending up on the B-29 line mostly made up of large bombers. Skill issue on my end, I guess, hahah.
I that branch was reserved for tactical bombers and long range bombers in the future, and stuff like that.

Tbh F15E should’ve been added to Strike line-up, now they caused an havoc and tech tree placement will be even worse in the future, unless they switch some places like they did before.
