Major Update "Firebirds" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

Gepard cares not for your stealth. Gepard smites you anyway.

So then… no the F-117s stealth characteristic wont impact AI SPAA performance

Ooh, love the 117!

which doesnt make sense if all other nations get random c&p vehicles but gdr ground stuff gets mostly ignored

Why are the developers not seeking to fix this and make AI be affected by countermeasures

Nooooooo get out

Gepards are not all SPAA and may not be the only AI platforms at all points. As we have already said, Radar features will be modelled and expanded upon in the future. The question was not spesifically on the Gepard.

Germany does not require soviet copypaste to be a top 3 ground nation is why

Where there are a lot of people not all of them of them are of same mind, it’s as simple as that.

Even more so with the UK which has options. leading to:

  • some wanting commonwealth
  • some wanting lend-lease
  • some wanting pure domestic.

At this moment in time, SPAA that it will encounter in something like Sim are

Sidam-25
Gepard
Roland

1 doesnt have a radar and the other 2 dont seem to require a radar lock. Gepard definetly not. Roland maybe, but chaff has no impact from what ive observed

You forget, the commonwealth folk who feel closer ties to the UK than any other tree and want our stuff there.

But you don’t understand, “it might change in the future”

Yes they get US c&p instead like m109, m48s. It doesnt make sense not to add it because a version of germany had 400 units of these artilleries

I dont mind common wealth stuff as long as it filling a gap I dont see the need for a copy paste OSA for example

The day ASB gets any major update is a day that the world ends :D

I don’t really use SPH in game myself, but given that three variants of M109 (base, A1, and A2) were employed by the British Army, and only A2 saw action in the Gulf, the choice of A1 for the tech tree has always confused me.

M109A2 “OG” when

I think this is the most important take away from this

The current AI unit detection/fire control may be inconsistent at times or behave differently from what you’d expect, but getting confirmation that this will be worked on is good news nonetheless.
