Major Update "Firebirds" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

even with having started on console you can still use the dev server

we still have gaps from 5.3 to 8.3 and 8.3 to 10.0 in the spaa line

this has only been in very recent times go back a year and the uk was luck to get 2 vehicles

name another tree that has 8 MBTs at top tier and they are still considered one of the worst trees at top tier, it doesnt matter how many additions we get if they are all pretty bad compared to A. what we already have or B. what others are getting.

Scimitar (basically a tracked fox so will be pretty decent)
Ram II (its alright)
Tornado Gr4 (it has some upgrades over the Gr1 but wont br game breaking)
HMS Repulse (this thing is absolutely terrible)
Superhind (its worse then most of the helis we have in the tree with terrible ATGMS and no AA weapons)
Indian OSA (we didnt need it but hey here we are)

it most likely is, cant wait germany now to get ANOTHER super dreadnaught while gaijin sits there pretending that the all of our BBs just arent real

Super Dreadnought. Im guessing they’ll get Bismark or Tirpitz before we see KGV :D

I would point out this is only even being this added this update in the first because British mains were asking for it :)

So “we” doesn’t really apply in this case.

The hope is that we can still yet see something like a Tracked Rapier in the future and that wont be blocked from being added because we have teh OSA at a similar BR/role.

We have already said the Osa has no impact or implications on already planned future British vehicles. Its implementation was just brought forward inline with feedback and requests to see it.

I would rather not have soviet AA systems when we don’t need them, what does it add to the tree? if we were in such a need of a SACLOS radar guided sam we could have gotten Tracked Rapier, you know a british SPAA

We didnt need a 3rd SPAA at the 10.0-11.0 range

can it at least be foldered so people that have no want of it dont have to waste several hundred thousand RP on researching it?

Once again, the addition of the Osa has nothing to do with any future British platforms.

I would also recommend reading all of the requests here on the forum and elsewhere from British tree players asking to have the Indian Osa.

I understand it may not be to your taste, but others disagreed with that.

For me as an Air main in Sim

Tornado F3 Late, totally unplayable at 13.3
Sea Harrier FA2, so full of placeholder parts its unplayable. Gunna be slog vs the ICE now as well
Tornado Gr1 missing quite a bit in terms of kit like radar
Sea Harrier FRS1 is unplayable due to BR
Sea Harrier FRS1e is disappointing to play due to placeholder parts and major harrier related issues
Tornado F3 is fun, but only playable in one rotation but the state of BOL sucks
Harrier Gr7 is barely playable at 12.7 in Sim, especially with quite a bit of placeholder parts / missing features/loadouts
Hunter FGA9 is 9.7 vs the French Hunter F6 at 9.0
Hunter F6/Harrier Gr1 are nearly unplayable due to how buggy SRAAMs are
Lightning and Sea Vixen are frustrating to play due to Red Top issues

Just so many issues that just never ever seem to get addressed. Even basic things, thigns every other nation takes for granted, like having a ready rack larger than 4 rounds for the Challenger 1 and Challenger 2 still have not been addressed and the reports for that are over a year old.

What additions we get can be really hit and miss, like HMS Repulse when we really desperately needed something 7.0/7.3 and ideally a battleship not a battlecruiser, especially one that is such a downgrade over the HMS Renown that we already have.

Britain has such potential, in both the vehicles its got and the vehicles yet to be added, but they just never seem to get any work when its needed.

Like i said, ALMOST no gaps.

No, not even recent, previous year it was the exact same.

That’s subjective. I think they are pretty good, you lack speed, but get A LOT of armour in return, especially at distance.

HMS Repulse, literally a lot people wanted more top tier battleships for GB, then you get one, and its not good because you think its bad. I know a lot of people who think the exact opposite.

Superhind, Every single Britain main wanted more helicopters, then you get the absolute best Hind that there is, and yet you are not satisfied.

Indian osa, Literally almost every single Brit main was complaining about it not coming because it would be simple C&P, and now its still not good. What do you want?

THats fine then, but too often I hear “Why do you want X, you already have Y”

You basically said everything i said… before i even saw your messages…

Its weaker than HMS Hood, HMS Renown and HMS Barham, the only value from it is if you msised those event ships and dont want to buy them, Otherwise its gunna be one of the weaker top tier ships in teh game and gunna struggle vs any other 6.7/7.0. Its the definition of a glass canon

Nations like Japan, Israël and Italy are the ones who NEED stuff now!

Especially unique stuff to make them more favourable to play, instead of playing the USSR and the US all over again.

so a soviet SPAA system is now required to actually progress in the british tree great

M8 every nation will get a sub at one point, no one will be immune from it, Britain will get more from other nations as it’s easy C&P on gaijin’s half
