Major Update "Firebirds" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

Not in a long long time

Depends if gaijin adds EFT at the same time then it wouldn’t make sense for Britain to get a CF-18 at the same time. Again i feel the EFT is very likely to be added in the summer or so.

why not both tho lol

I can see that happening the Super Hornet is realisticly the US’s Typhoon contemporary (I dont count the F-22)

Because they really only seem to add commonwealth vehicles when they can’t or won’t add a domestic equivalent.

That’s fair.

I’d just love to see the GB tree evolve into more of a CANZUK style entity in the coming years.

IMO, Britain doesn’t need both at the same time. I also disagree with both Canadian and AU hornets going to britain. Idk why they need two hornets, id rather they just get one with both nations camos, additionally the legacy Hornets dont really match up against the EFT so it wouldn’t make sense to release them at the same time.

In my opinion, it might F/A-18E Block 1 (USN)

But coming to 2 or 3 years

There’s no kill like overkill brother lol.

That works too.

Honestly makes me kinda upset that we didnt get the Norwegian camo for the T 2, oh well not like they are an official subtree. Honestly i hope that if they add stuff like that to a nation that has two of the same vehicles they mix the camos, like idk if the SA OSA is the same model as the Indian one but i wouldn’t be against the OSA having both nations camos so that they are both equally represented

Why not?

Wouldn’t mind that for air, however I’m against that idea for ground.

Simple. Family and job. 4 nations already take more than enough time away.

I think it’s fine in ground too.

CAN/AU have really useful things to offer, but US has equal or better variants of such things so it’s not like they miss out on them either.

Would love a LAV III TUA for example.

I just hate the idea of a single nation having pretty much top tanks of half the nations in it’s tree.

No thanks. I prefer uniqueness between trees over uniqueness in a tree itself.

EDIT: I think it’s not as bad in air because in RB you can only spawn 1 plane anyway.

CAN / AU’s stuff is like, 95% US exports, so I don’t think it puts too much unique national flavour into GB alone.

UK + US are on the same team most of the time anyway so it’s not even immersion breaking in game.

Britain would have access to the Chally 2/3, M1A1 AIM, M1A2 SEPv3, 2A4M and 2A6M.

That is pretty much one of the best M1A1s, the best M1A2, domestic MBTs and some of the current high end leopards.

Meh. Chally’s are so atrocious that I think they need the help.

I respect your viewpoint though.

Oh don’t get me wrong, I would love them to get help. I just prefer it would come through buffing the Chally 2/3.

I’d prefer this too, but after so many years of the snail consistently failing to do so, I’ve lost all faith this will ever happen.

Fully take onboard the ire towards unique national flavour being diluted, but from my POV, getting US tanks is hardly an issue because UK + US often on same team anyway. Equally getting GER exports is hardly an issue because that Pandora’s box has already been opened with Sweden / France.

I found top tier Britain to be so profoundly unenjoyable I’ve outright quit playing it. CAN/AU tanks would bring me back.
