I’ve seen a lot of excitement and speculation about the F-18 potentially being added to War Thunder in the December patch. However, as of now, there hasn’t been any official confirmation from Gaijin Entertainment regarding this (correct me if i’m wrong please).
Most of the discussions and videos out there seem to be based on speculation or user-made models.
While the F-18 would be an amazing addition to the game, it’s important to manage our expectations until we hear something official from the developers, i feel people will be disappointed if it doesn’t arrive (but you can’t blame Gaijin for this, its people not addressing these expectations and as rumours start they get blown out of proportion)
If they do decide to include the F-18, I’m sure they’ll make an announcement in the next 3 to 4 weeks time.
They could also leave it until the teaser drops. To get maximum FOMO Return on their investment.

Most of the discussions are based on that the swiss F5 and F18 were on the leak list for the last update, but that list did also say that they might be delayed.

If we are to believe that the F18 is close then i think the gripen should be avoided but if the F18 is to be added later the Gripen could be added, the problem rn is getting gaijin to nerf/fix the gripens to their correct C model since rn they are like the F5C.
Considering both Gunjob and Smin haven’t gotten back to respond to my question i assume the devs are blatantly ignoring the specifc models for each country since it would make them harder to balance.
