So what is this plane getting over its predecessor? because as it currently stands… it just seems like an HMD is the ONLY difference.

It’s hard for me to imagine how confident RMV can be in benchmarking against the F-15E/I, SU-34, JF-17, AV-8B+
No BVR, no MICA IR, even if given AASM, it’s not worth staying at 13.7/12.7

MICA-EM wasnt integrated with Mirage 2000D. Using them is physically impossible due to nature of the radar it has.

Sadly no. This was not the case.

Gripen is cleared to use AIM-9M and AGM-65.

Mirage 2000D RVM was never used or cleared with MICA EM and it’s radar doesn’t allow it’s use either. So sadly it’s not even “theoretically” possible based on the current evidence.
