Major Update "Firebirds" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

Is there any Chinese vehicle that can replace leo2? Till now the only one is the mbt2000, I don’t think other export vehicles have a similar status.

The M1A2T was suggested a lot.

don’t need something so similar, MBT200 or ZTZ-96B can provide high mobility choices, that’s enough. and no need to add a Leo2 in a br where Chinese have already 4 MBTs, Chinese TT lacks light vehicles, not MBTs in that br.

hard agree my friend.
Every time stuff like this happens I enjoy the game a little less

Soviets / Russia have a lot of object tanks that can be added. such as Burlak and Black Eagle ect. Not to mention a Ukraine or Czechoslovakia sub-tree.

At least, I thought Gaijin would change the faction name like Wargame:Red dragon, and that will be better.

Eh, they havent even got the right flags for some stuff, doubt they could manage a name lmao

The ZTQ-15 too which has been highly requested.

China classifies it as a light tank but it’s more mix between a light tank and MBT

That’s a real light tank, didn’t install any NERA, a light weight MBT called VT5, which block 100mm APCBC in front, a better option than Leo2s.

ZTQ-15 is more like a light tank, VT-5 is mix between a light tank and MBT with better armor, or can say a small MBT that suits Southeast Asia environment.
a compromise for an engine that work in high land.

I thought they were the same thing?

no, designed by different institute. ZTQ-15 won the bid, and VT-5 turned to export.
ZTQ-15 won by it’s specially designed engine that work well on high land, but it takes too much weight so ZTQ-15’s protection mainly rely on ERA

Except China doesn’t need Singapore’s Leopard 2 to pull it off.
There are other country options that don’t blatantly steal from tech trees that actually need these holes filled.

MBT-2000, both Type 96s that currently exist. There’s a lot more available such as VT-4.
Type 99A, VT-4A, and M1A2T are available as Leopard 2A6 equivalent tanks.
A-4SU? Q-5s.

At least with T-90S produced in India, Britain was at the end of 10.Xs getting added.

Since this post was liked I’m going to follow-up with a post rather than an edit.
Pakistan’s T-80UD purchased from Ukraine is also an option.

To mostly say why I myself would be extremely upset:
I’ve been wanting A-4SU in the game for years. It’d be a nice 9.7ish naval aircraft in Japan if added that’s not a prop.

Of course for ground, Indonesia has all that Singapore has and Indonesia operates Japanese equipment… so it makes 100% sense if all of Indonesia goes to Japan as a sub tree.
Indonesia just doesn’t have an A-4SU equivalent aircraft, and that makes me upset.
Cause I know for a fact that my 9.x lineup for China will have Q-5 replaced with A-4SU entirely if it’s added.

I’m just sitting back here hoping to get CBUs, the tornado GR1 and IDS need their anti-runway munitions (JP233 and MW-1) so that they can be more useful in game, especially in sim. Would make them be so much more fun.

Leopard2SG
Joining China would be a very good choice, most of the local vehicles in China are not transparent enough, this kind of transparent carriers will help to increase the strength of China’s tech tree.

agree

Hey I heard a rumor JAPAN might finally gert south KOREA SO THEY arent PUNished by cas EVERY GAME AT TOP TIER

Japan lacks cas and that’s true, but putting Korea inside Japan is just not a really good idea, at least I would say this is just not possible. I say that make North and South Korea into one tech tree would be pretty interesting
