People didn’t complain about 2 PSO because “it was a copy-paste”; they complained about 2 PSO because it wasn’t a true counterpart to Sweden’s Strv 122s, of which Germany had many options Gaijin could have picked over PSO.
Because many nations are stuck in capabilities. We want tanks that finally upgrade their capabilities, not sidegrades, of course; and when that happens, even “copy-pastes” of the new tanks will be warmly welcome, because they will still be upgrades to the tanks they will replace.
It uses the Europowerpack (1650hp) and has the full add-on package with D-Tech internals. It also features engine silencers. The history of the tank is also very interesting as this single tank went through basically alll of the Leo 2s development. The base was a 2A4 stemming from the first eigth batch of Leopard 2s and ended up as the precursor to the 2A7V.
Exactly. And, since Sweden has THREE 122s + 1 2A6, it’s only natural for German players to also want 3x 122 counterparts, even if “they feel the same”; because them feeling the same is a good thing, as long as they are better than the tanks they would replace.
And which is why many nations’ players want to move on too; to get counterparts to all of these too.
And that’s why I am so frustrated; because I play all of these nations and I want them all to be fun and balanced once and for all, hahahah.
tbf, if GJN wants to stay realistic-ish on the vehicles, there simply won’t be true balance. real life isn’t a game and not every modern tank build is on par with each other, especially not in this game setting. no soft balancing via reload and other tweaks will help there. And giving everybody the same tank isn’t a good solution either
I you want a truly balanced game, you gotta go straight fantasy and make stuff up.
I think by splitting up they didn’t mean Singapore, but ASEAN. Some ASEAN countries are very reasonable as Chinese subtrees like Myanmar, Cambodia or Laos.
If vehicles were realistic, they would be way more balanced than they currently are flooded and filled with artificial nerfs.
The reason why the current gap between the 2A7s and 122s and the rest of the tanks is because the latter are filled with errors and nerfs.
How is Merkava Mk.4 more balanced… being a 300mm KE building… or if it was slower, but actually had immune turret cheeks and extremely strong UFP?
How is Leclerc more balanced… having an UFP weaker than T-64A’s and not being any more mobile than tanks 6 tons heavier than it, or if at least its mobility was actually light-tank like as it’s suppossed to be and if its UFP was able to take some shots once in a while, and if S.XXI’s turret became stronger too?
How is Challenger 2 more balanced… being a non-meta, slow, sluggish tank which can’t even take any fire at all… or if it was slow, BUT it could also withstand fire as it should by not modelling its mantlet as hollow and making it more survivable by giving it its missing spall liners?
Etc, etc, etc.
Make all tanks as strong as they are meant to be, and they will balance by themselves against each other. The problem here is nerfs and mismodelling, which castrates them against the few non-nerfed tanks.
Oh, despite it’s Singaporean vehicle for China…
Another squadron vehicle is added, but not for Italy, this nation is truly “special” for Gaijin to receive any squadron vehicle I guess.
I don’t think it will take that long, but I’m afraid that Gaijin will make its armor awful.
Apart from Hungarian and Italian MBT, there is also Romania, which will be able to bring some interesting options soon (like Abrams).
While we’re at it, might as well put Russia into China as well cuz they “used to own some territories in the past”, Vladivostok was a hotspot last I heard…
