My main point is that Britain is a western nation. I am fine with the western nations getting other western nations vehicles that they had in service (as long as it doesn’t remove too much uniqueness from the original host nations), as these nations are allied with eachother.
I am sick of tech trees turning into these amalgamations of western and eastern tech through subtrees, as it takes away from the nations identities and more often than not the subnations vehicles just overshadow the domestic vehicles of the host nation.
I have the same issue with Italy getting so many russian/soviet vehicles through Hungary and Sweden getting them through Finland.
Well if Brimstone are here, glide bomb for US and crazy new missiles for Russia, if the RMV come without AASM, it’s gonna be an useless addition and just another proof of Gaijin unfair work.
I think unless you want tech to be all over the place in completely random and incoherent places this isnt a hill you want to die on. The truth is many modern militaries are weird ‘emalgamations’ of Western and Eastern tech.
Finland and Germany absolutely deserve their Soviet/Warsaw Pact tech. Hungary being added to Italy, essentially due to WW2 connections deserve it too.
You don’t have to play the T-90S, the Super Hind, or the future Su-30MKI, but India is now stuck in the British Tree, and makes for a more interesting lineup.
If you want to purity spiral, you’re still allowed to have 5 different Chally 2’s and a Harrier and a Tornado and play on “hard mode”.
Or you could just enjoy the game for what it is, a game, and play with whatever gives you the best advantage. I do this when I play China, and it’s not bothersome in the slightest.
Lol I remember complaining about the only high tier / top tier IFV being premium, still remember when I was told “next update” and “just wait a couple of updates”.
I do want trees to be as unique as possible. I don’t see anything wrong with a nation not having access to some specific kind of weapon or vehicle at certain BR ranges, as that creates a more interesting gameplay dynamic than what we currently have at many BRs with almost all sides using the same vehicles even when most nations have their own unique vehicles available.
