By giving Su25SM3 a potential (actually 0%) possibility to shot down by SPAA simply because it’s not an out-of-range FnF.
I am super excited for about 10 vehicles this update, but watching british reaction to receiving a cool and capable top tier striker with a new weapon will be my favorite moment of the patch L

Whats funny is that if you wanted to preserve some semblance of the identity of this weapon. You could make them dual mode IR seeker and SAL, if mmW is too strong.
But no, they actively chose to just make it worthless.

Almost like a FOX-3 for ground with no IFF. In fire and Forget node the Tornado never has to be in harms way and can fire them off without real consequences.
Unfortunately for many of your teammates on the ground and enemy tankers, they would not have a good time at all as there is no counter.

honestly just make them missle require lock on trough the targeting pod, like pars 3 and spikes and be done with it
only laser version is just ehh, cripples european future CAS capability completly
every typhoon will be restricted to launching 1 missle at a time
in the mean time russia and us can just sling ther thermal and tv seeker missles

oh I get that but making them forced to only have the laser lock is dumb, with how long hellfires take to reach the target, assuming you give them their 20km range you could be holding that lock upwards of a minute, and if your only able to fire one at a time, well it is a weapon completely useless for taking out pantsirs
