Major Update "Firebirds" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

It definitely is, since Su27 is a few feet larger as well.

11:09 onward talks about IR reduction

Nighthawk uses stealth!

From the past to the future, except the next gen is F15EX lol.

A subsonic plane with that size? No amount of stealth can save it from me just manually guiding my missile into it’s cockpit.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a fun addition, just not a very hypable one for me.

Yes, it belongs in the Swedish tree or anything future Scandinavia related, but if for any reason it shouldn’t, the only way would be in the American tree in sort of the same situation as the Canadian leopard

Assuming you’re able to constantly scan the sky with your mk.1 eyeball for the small black dot with no radar to help you

It could show up at any time, any direction, maybe while you’re busy dealing with other aircraft. Also consider that maybe you’re not the average player, who gets used to radar doing everything for them leading to them not paying as much attention as they should

Stealth will go 1 of 2 ways in War Thunder in my eyes, itll be invincible and Literally Stealth undetectable or it will be useless and you might as well not have it

Is there a rule to this ?

I hope they’re able to find that grey spot but unfortunately i think you’re right…

Seeing as it’s not that tiny, eh should be more than fine.

Against the vastness of the sky, it really is though

This is assuming a worst case scenario for the F-117 with no clouds at all. Also you might be busy at the time dealing with other threats.

Do you expect the average SPAA player to scan the sky with their full undivided attention?

There are no rules against it being added in any other tree, but why should a vehicle be added in a tree, in witch it has no connection with? (operator country)

I mean iirc most planes only spawn around 12-15km away, which usually makes spotting F-15 sized targets not too bad.

And like I said earlier about cloud cover. I wish the F-117 good luck trying tu use it’s guided weaponry through the clouds.

Yeah cloud cover is a double edged sword.

Assuming stealth is modelled correctly alongside IR signature reduction, the F-117 will be really good in Night Battles.

Wow… you don’t consider that the F-117 can duck into or emerge from clouds when neccesary?

It’s not binary…

To fill a gap in CAS, as I said Denmark has no home no rules, Argentina and Poland had recently been denied to be a sub for Germany as both used F-16s.

The Swiss F/A-18 won’t fill that CAS role but the F-16, the only country left is Denmark.

i can only dream IS-7 1946

doesn’t fit

Yeah we can just keep making up imaginary situations where we seriously restrict the SPAA to make the F-117 look good.
