Is there enough data for Gaijin to model XF-2?
I assume you mean storm shadow right? also uhh issue with that, its practical stealth and has a range of 550kms
Sky Shadow is the ECM pod that can replace a BOZ pod on the Tornado IDS
Storm Shadow is the Cruise missile
oh lol I thought you miss spoke I was gonna say
Though wont lie, Storm Shadows would be… interesting, but fun.
Very niche in use case, but with the right damage multipliers, sending them cross map (or even in a nerfed state at moderate ranges) to destroy bases would be fun.
It makes sense still as we have the T-1 to F-1, so XF-2A to F-2A.
XF-2B or F-2B seems like event vehicle material.
Most likely, especially if they use APG-68 which is just copy/paste F-16C radar.
Even if they want to use J/APG-1 AESA radar, they can use the experimental version which had less module so it was less powerful and make up whatever limitation they want.
didnt the warthunder 2077 event not have drones with cruise missiles?
I dont recall, I rarely played those events as they are often ground focused and im not a fan of ground
I thought I had read Romania upgraded them after the fall. Doesn’t bother me either way. Italy needs more than just the dang OTO for SPAA. Every nation needs usable SPAA.
This RU/East vs West thing people do is really silly when, say for example, everyone is playing their new boxer, and the 100% German team only has whatever Germany can bring to the match.
Interesting, did they mention if they knew where the AD was more than generally? Syria has S-300’s, and Russian crewed S-400’s at the RU Navy base in Latakia. Unfortunately I’m sure that info is classified. I also know that there’s multiple complexes for both the S-300 and 400 for all sorts of different types of radars and FCS. I know there’s a lot of backwards compatibility between the FCS complex and the different integrated assets. At distance, anything is possible, the Su-34 crew a few months back dodged at least 2 patriot missiles fired at it when doing a UMPC run.
Interesting. I wonder how well the IRST functions would fare. I know the US sees those complexes as a huge threat.
Doesn’t surprise me at all. Both the 29 and 27 at that stage had their more primitive radars. I doubt Foxhunter could jam BARS entirely, and definitely not IRBIS-E. But that’s a gap in generations of course.
It should help with Fox 3’s too, makes them a little less accurate depending on a few factors (of which jamming can be a factor.
I don’t think the book ever stated. But been a while since i read that book. Will see if I can find the relevant passage later.
Probably quite well, I’ve heard the PIRATE IRST could acquire F-22 at a range of about 40km, though I don’t know the validity of that…but the luftwaffe typhoons at the time didn’t have PRIATE installed.
I meant Russian/Chinese IRST, but EFT having IRST is a huge advantage too.
Based on the small amount of research ive done (im sure theres posts I havent seen yet) I dont think they will help as much as we’d think
So what does Indonesia add to Japan that no one else can? Some Flankers? A BMP?
It’s not like the UK are lacking in a way that the F-117 will fix lol.
Keep thinking that the F-117C will do well in ground RB. It’s laughable.
Highly doubt it. The F-16 is already really strong, if most people can’t spawn that thing or do well enough in it another high spawnpoint option won’t change shit.
Not even counting all the Clickbaits with no air tree researched.
ASEAN imo would be the best option for Japan (as much as I want SK) it would fill every single gap in the entire tech tree which obviously includes the mentioned nations, Singapore and Thailand would fix top tier ground and SOME air but there will still be massive gaps in the mid and low tiers I THINK
Do you have a link to the proposed tree?
