Fair enough, most Pantsir players have the brain capacity of a goldfish. But someone who knows how to operate it will stay alive for 12+ missiles.
ngl positioning is really important to SPAAs, the pantsir could have easily defeated those by having any kind of cover near by to where he was shooting from
Fair enough, guess I’ve just been running into bad Pantsir players lol
Make use of the guns on the Pantsir and you’re good to go.
4-5 mavs is easy to deal with in the Pantsir. Especially since you can target 2 at the same time with the Pantsir.
Problem is that not a lot of people know about that trick.
At a distance, the Pantsir missile has difficulty killing due to the missile’s low maneuverability. If the target dances in the air, the missile almost always cannot keep up (even more so if you use automatic guidance, which has a very large lead and burns a lot of energy).
Base model receives it as well, they were basically retrofitted with it.
1v1 I have to agree, but most of the time when I’m playing pantsir, I’m overwhelmed with 3 to 4 CAS firing missiles and dropping bombs.
I played it a lot during squadron battles this season, I was pretty much in Pantsir jail for the first 2 weeks of the season. I really didn’t have much trouble with being overwhelmed.
I usually just positioned myself in a way that blocked off one or multiple aproach angles.
I think the core point though, is that to deal with something like an ADATS, it takes a single AGM-65 and performing no evasive measures, heck, rarely would I even drop CMs if defending against an ADATS.
But a Pantsir requires most of an aircraft’s A2G payload, providing it carries enough to overwhelm it to begin with and actively and aggresssively defending. More often than, if you dont start defending the moment you spawn in, then its too late and you are already dead.
CB doesn’t really have that, but it’s also a much different environment than a normal RGB match.
It depends for BR but, if it is 11.x, “stealth” means nothing because most people turns off radar.
I doubt it would be above 10.0 because it’s subsonic with no way to kill aircraft. Even 9.3 planes would easily catch it, and would be able to kill it.
GRB is a different story, however.
Id roughly place it at the same Air BR as the Buc S1 of 8.7, but even then, its probably inferior without making it so that GBUs have a damage multiplier to bases
Whatever, It would be meme plane because most people in sim below 11.0s doesn’t use radar for finding enemy.
Using radar gives RWR pinging and most radars are useless on the deck.
Only useful for evading Sea Vixens :P
Yeah imo ground RB is easier for the Pantsir.
or checking teammates IFF who ignore gamechat.
or that, I would say most have to get very close to use any weapons anyway, and it would be obvious it was an F-117 the moment you got close… But the number of times i’ve been TKed in the Sea Vixen is quite alarming, not exactly a common silhouette
Well like I had said, when I spawn in my Kurnass 2000 I immediately search for the pantsir then once I found it, I launch 4-5 AGMs at it, dive while evading, this gives me a guaranteed kill on it about 98-99% of the time. Then I pop up once it’s dead, find someone to use my last AGM on, then RTB.
While some can consider the Pantsir OP in that situation I think it’s the other way around since once I’m out of A2G I just fly back, land and rearm, all while in safety. Meanwhile a pantsir player, if they run out of missiles, has to drive that giant bus to a Cap point while hoping it doesn’t get bombed or killed by a tank.
