Asraam is one of my favourite ir missiles so I’m very hyped for it to come, other ir missile is p4/5 that I’m very excited for

The R-73 can already pull some pretty crazy G’s, so it wouldn’t be as much better than we already have as some make it out to.
Technically we have a variant of it, the derby missile is based on p4 trading longer range for manouverbility. Right now I rarely use ir missiles since intend to do BVR engagements at like 40km in air rb

the R-73 pulls those crazy Gs at a cost of having poor energy retention due to the TVC, Py4 has none of that, so it will pull 40-70Gs and retain its speed during that
That, the ASSTA3.1, and A200C (or whatever it’s called) would be great as early ASRAAM and IRIS-T carriers.

That’s not a massive jump from what we have, though, especially since BVR is the meta currently.
Considering that the F-15E is barely inferior to the C for A2A, I doubt it. The Su-34 I could see having R-73Ms, but I’m not expecting AIM-9X bl 1’s until at least late next year, though maybe even 2026.
Late block 15Es will have incredible radar though. That will make them pretty suitable for BVR meta.
Aim9x block 1 I reckon will come sooner than later imo, it’s more of a in-between generation missile and mica or will be superior. Has no optical imaging or loal. Duel band irccm and high manouverbility, so I think it could come within the next few updates. Block 2/3 is when aim9x gets crazy
Yep, and when we eventually get the EX, it’ll be a wall of AIM-120D’s and AIM-260’s.
Even older strike eagles will probably have one of the strongest radars in game
The flight performance of the bl 1 isn’t anything special when compared with the IRIS-T and the like, however its IRCCM still sets it apart by quite a bit from what we have now.
EX’s fly-by-wire also allows the Eagle to pull a lot more AOA in maneuvers. Just look at F-15QA demo and EX has the same avionics system as QA iirc.
Mica ir I believe should have optical imaging which would give it superior tracking to aim9x block 1
I’ve seen f15qa fly, it made f16 a look like a bus
The MICA-IR will definitely be better with its range, however the Mirage 2000D RMV is much worse than the F-15E for A2A, so it getting MICA-IRs wouldn’t be nearly as large a leap as the F-15E getting 9X’s.
