Speculation thoughts based on the supposed leak list but if it’s to be added what BR would the Yūbari class Destroyer Escort JS Yūbetsu DE-228 be?
The armament is rather lacking if we don’t include the AShM’s with a single 76 mm Compact fore & a m/50 launcher & 2×3 12.8" torpedoes.
Could it be a 3.3 at the lowest or maybe a 3.7? Yet I cannot see it being higher unless they’re introducing heavy AShM’s to the game (doubt).
Also does anyone know if the Japanese were supplied with the SAPOM shells & how large were the main magazines? (in how much total ammunition could be carried outside the mounts ready rack of 80 shells).
I do hope this Destroyer Escort does come so it may bring the Japanese out of using WWII designed cannons on their current DE’s & Rank V Destroyer, yet I also see speculation this vessel may only be for Edge/Mobile as seen by last lists having ships for that game in them as well.
If we did see heavy AShM’s added in 2.41, what BR would these missiles see & if added would the missile mod itself have a split BR? (without sub 4.0, with 8.0 sorta thing).
It’s possible Gaijin will give it CAS capability. The SA Gripen didn’t have any BVR capability but Gaijin still gave it Darter.
Honestly, I’d say probably 3.7, considering the 375mm Rocket Launchers on the bow

not interesting in my view, still a M551, not much difference in game. I think 105mm ones could be much more interesting.

Hmm, yeah looking back I think 3.7 would be the most likely BR but it could be a 3.3 to make up for the light armament & probable destroyer spawn, but anything higher it would be more than DoA.
thats because with out it there would be zero point in us getting the gripen, the F18C for germany is to fix the lack of 4th gens

I’d probably say 3.3 or 3.7, while a little bigger, it’s weaponry and speed are the same as HMS Peacock/Lè Orla. Would be quite the compent “frigate”

I understand your point, but if you consider a more mobile platform, the same 152 mm cannon but without the missile, I guess it’s a good addition. With the recent BR change would it fit at 8.3, 8.0 or 7.7?

I think such TT can have a place, although it will have similar issues as Japan (if not more) with a lack of content (setups and vehicles in general) and low playerbase, which always leads to lower attention from devs.
The Gripen was added before ARH though, when Britain lacked a good 4th gen. The R-darters were added later to fill the ARH gap.

the thing is, they are just users of Chinese export vehicles, so if only add those exported vehicles, it can’t be called a sub, just like Australia M1A1 AIM in US.
For now, Chinese TT doesn’t need sub, just fix of existing vehicles and some more domestic design, export or in own service, there are enough choices.
From the original definition of sub, introducing not so related vehicles to a TT, or find a place for a small TT, North Korea can fit, but it will mean a separated Korea and cause many problems.
7.7 or lower, no missile and a slow heat means it’s not easy to use.

yeah, britain lacked ANY kind of good fighter, would have been a pretty massive let down if they then told us to wait for ARH missiles as well

but the gap between Tornado and Typhoon is real and big, that’s what sub should fix, and it did fix.
