It would only have IR missiles. The airframe is not nearly as good as people make it out to be.
The problem is not that htey get the most, the problem is they get SIGNIFICANTLY better aircraft WAY before everyone else and then maintain that gap for months and months and months, all while claiming that the equivalents would be too OP to come when they would have been approrpriate to add.
The better solution is this.
Add aircraft like the Typhoon sooner rather than later. and then spend the next year catching up and overtaking it. That way 5 nations arent left behind and the other 5 nations get a good stream of new additons.
The alternative is this
5 nations remain status quo for months maybe years (and so people stop playing them)
the other 5 nations get stronger and stronger and stronger
and then everyone is alllowed to catch up.
Nations with teh most options to be added, should be behind the tech curve for nations that have very few additions. Because the gaps wouldnt be so bad.
All im reading is this:
US must be the best nation in game, no other nation is allowed to be better. Under no circumstances can another nation be considered better by more than a tiny margin.
US must get an aircraft equal or superior to the Typhoon before the Typhoon is allowed to be added, even if that means 3 nations (and equivalent users) get nothing between now and then, despite the fact the US is superior currently to most them already and the gap will only increase in coming updates.
Just like F-16A vs Phantom FGR2/Viggen D or F-16C vs F3 /Viggen D

And worse, when you close in to WVR range if you miss the R-73 opportunity you’ll lose, since you have pretty much the worse airframe at top tier, with only MiG-29SMT being outright worse.

I’ve got one good turn, HMD, and an R-73. I usually get a second turn, just because most people aren’t very good at flying (I’m mediocre afaik, but good enough to know I have to sellout or die), and maybe one more R-73. By then I’ve usually taken a missile from someone else and am dead.
Because I have no decent ACQ, I have a very small window where I have an advantage with the ET’s and ER’s, the whole plane is a mess, but we call that a ‘rat’ in the industry apparently. ;)
AND!!! Because the R-73 seeker is still nerfed, it doesn’t have the same IRCCM lulz-tier ability that the 9M does, so it’s still a shit show even with the HMD.

Yeah, I’m using the J-11A though, which is unfortunately an even heavier airframe. J-11B is a different beast however and I’m looking forward to that maybe December update/early next year. J-15 seems more likely given the naval theme.

No dude, it would get all the missiles the MSIP currently has with much better flight performance.
Or, hear me out, instead of advocating for a continuation of having a few nations massively leapfrog over others, we advocate for a simultaneous release of comparable aircraft so nobody gets left behind.

I almost have the J-11, and I’m looking forward to both it and the J-11A, just because I like collecting Flankers, but I know the best is already behind me, so to speak.
I was hoping the J-10A would be fun, but it sounds like it’s really just a dogfighter, which is a cool change of pace if nothing else… I guess.
J-10A is actually quite decent. Even though PL-12s lack range against AIM-120, they have better maneuverability and you can use HMD to hit some pretty nasty shots up close. It also has a decent radar which doesn’t have the best range, but also has the SMT gimmick in which you can pretty much notch 90 degrees versus enemy radar and still guide PL-12s. Flight performance-wise it is up there with Block 10 F-16 and Gripen.

imo, with the right buffs (and it wouldnt take much) F-15C MSIP II = Typhoon Tranche 1 Block 5.

So I think they need to make that tiny jump to put all nations back onto equal footing, at the moment the F-15C nations are way ahead.

We got the MiG-29 and F-16 in the same patch. I could see more than just the EFT’s being added. TBH, we could still get Euro-Canard update in December, with a pittance to the US via some lame Hornet, seems fair to me, tbh.
If you’re adding an Su-30 to compliment the EFT/Rafale, I think we go to Su-30SM at that rate anyways, I don’t think anyone is ready for the Su-35S yet.
China would J-15 or maybe J-10C. J-10C would keep with the Canard theme of a patch…

For China it would probably be J-11B, or maybe J-10B (J-10 with DSI intake, slightly more powerful engine, and PESA radar)

J-10C might be a bit too early imo. It’s using AESA radar and a decently powerful engine (as long as Gaijin gives it WS-10B instead of AL-31FN Series 3 like the early batch).
