yeah you left out that part where the Ariete cannot take a hit, and if it does take a hit it dies instantly because it has no blowout rack… while having the most vulnerable ammo placement at top tier-
CR3TD has no blow out panels, No spall liners and basically no armour.
I’ve bounced on a challenger but never a Ariete. What we are doing is stupid lol… are we really arguing about which tank is worst. They both need to be fixed on top of some others. (Like the Abram’s getting its proper DU armor)
im sorry? the challengers also dont have blow out panels and also have ammo in the hull you cant get rid of? like you seem to think the challengers can take any kind of penetrating shot, and im gonna be real the mantlet is massive it isnt that hard to kill a challenger only noobs are gonna hit the cheeks and if its DM53 from an L55 it doesnt even matter lol

question here for the class… has anyone here besides me who is talking about the Ariete… ever played it?
Edit: Because it’s hard to have a genuine discussion comparing 2 vehicles if you only have experience with one and not the other-
im going off of what my friend has been telling me its like since the update and he much prefers the Arietes to the challengers since the changes

Honestly, they should just make the back ammorack also be first-order stage, as it is in real life.
The 4 shot first-order stage is one of Challenger 2’s biggest handicaps. After 4 shots, you basically get a T-72-level reload, except on a much worse tank and even worse if your loader is dead or hurt xD
The fact that the first order ammorack takes more than twice as slong to fill compared to every other tank doesn’t help either.

see it was balanced before when the challenger was the only tank with a 5 second manual loading, now that the majority of tanks do the ready rack needs to be increased or decrease the reload further

No, but instead of having 3 bad burgers, 2 okay ones, and 2 pretty good ones, and then asking for even more burgers, maybe you should ask for a side dish or a drink? A.k.a. get some support vehicles instead of even more MBTs. Or maybe get some condiments for an okay one to upgrade it, like give the 3TD a 1500hp engine and fix the Chally’s armour.
Besides, a Leo2A6 wouldn’t be a big step (if any) above the BN or 2E, so it wouldn’t even achieve much. And UK certainly doesn’t need a 2A4 because it already has a great 10.7 lineup with numerous tanks.
Lastly… the 2A6 is still top BR, and they aren’t doing top BR prems, events and squadrons yet, and a Canadian 2A6 certainly wouldn’t be in the research tree.
you act like we haven’t tried to do this for years at this point, the british community desperately tried to get gaijin to revert the 1500hp change on the 3TD and they told us no every time you seem to think that our first thought is to ask for another nations MBTs it really isnt
Had it and was removed. Also asked for 5 second reload with DM53, make it a side grade over the CR2s, Ariette got that buff, CR3TD didn’t
Tried that, biggest non R&R thread on the forums is dedicated to that. THey nerfed the CR2 instead of buffing it.

I don’t get this support vehicle obsession thing.
What good is some car with a 25mm canon for when all it has to “support” is a bad or mediocre at best MBT?
What is that “support vehicle” going to do against the hordes of Russian MBTs, 122s and 2A7s? Tickle their tracks?

I half get it, If we cant bring a decent tank, the least we should be able to do it bring a decent SPAA, Heli or jet or something and can bring value to the team via that.
Like maybe a Tornado Gr4 with Brimstones? :P
Ya if it went to Germany where it became a UNATTAINABLE event vehicle.
The only tree(outside Canada getting one) where it would be TT is the British tree. Look at other additions like the F-111C.
They got rid of it because the production model is apparently going to stick with the 1200hp engine (could be true could be unture, who knows its the british government).
The worst part being the “chally 3” we have in game isnt a fking chally at all but a test demonstrator which in all likely hood had the 1500hp engine. So, if gaijins basing the chally 3 in game on the test demonstrator then in game its wrong but if they want to base it on the production model… well then its even more wrong…
They need to change the name as its no where near close to what a chally 3 is, the black knight is closer than it.
Ajax, Warrior CSP, VERDI-2, Stormer LMM are 4 support vehicles I can think of off the top of my head that would be nice support vehicles to have, especially if we can get the Ajax photographed with the javelin mount on the RWS. I’m sure there’s lots of other options as well.
show me anything saying the 3TD (Rhm’s LEP demonstrator but renamed) received a 1500hp engine upgrade
Asking for other nation’s MBTs still wouldn’t fix anything. It’s just annoying other nations. Or do you want to go down the UK tree to end up exclusively playing Leos and Abrams? Why not play Germany/Sweden/US at that point? Sweden even has the best Centurion waiting for you.
