E does also have better engines which gives better T/W ratio, not to mention it has much more advanced radar, more missiles and A2G options and reduced RCS capabilities.

Definitely will be an Eurofighter counterpart. C already is, although barely (in the air to air department), but E will definitely be even closer.
JAS39E is basically new plane that was designed to contest against other countries designs, Sweden realized C model reached its full potantiel and decided to make it even better.
Not really a counterpart. EFT and Rafale will be kings of WVR fights due to T/W and flight performance alone. Gripen E will definitely surpass things such as late F-16s, MiG-29’s, F/A-18’s and other light aircrafts.

I’d say it’s more T2 due to its A2G armament.
The E and C might need BOL, and the C may need an early AESA like the apg63v2 (afaik the range will most likely be similar to eft but it is a very heavy radar and will actually impact flight performance), but other than that yeah they’re roughly equal

BOL, maybe. if BOL doesnt get fixed, then the F-15C already has a notable CM count advantage over the Typhoon
Fair point, still extra cm would be useful in new top tier they’d probably move the C to. And since the eft will almost definitely come with the Rafael, I don’t think it’s too unreasonable to trade a good bit of flight performance for a better radar
F-15C has armament roughly equal to T1 EFT and Rafael, and as it is right now has a radar disadvantage to both, and a flight performance disadvantage to both. If the F-15C could have a radar advantage and flight performance disadvantage I think it would be pretty balanced
Yep, eventually. Though I wonder if they’ll ever fix BOL on the grounds that nations that didnt use BOL would be at a massive disadvantage.
Rather nuts aircraft like the Tornado F3 and Sea Harrier have more CMs than most by quite a margin and yet operate quite often as if they have none
That being said, GR4 is the next that needs BOL

Past couple days i was busy grinding my British Strike Aircraft line while using Harrier Gr7 and Buccaneer S2/F111C.
Despite having 4 BOL’s on each rail and preflaring it was really hard to fool incoming missiles in my GR7, this shouldnt happen by any means.
We have had so many dev servers, when is the update coming? I look forward to it, and specifically grinded out tech-tree variants for some of the new incoming aircraft. I hope it comes in tomorrow.

Its better than “mini Eurofighter” claim.
It basically matches with eurofighter in terms of flight performance while only lacking couple missiles, its pretty much par on latest block Rafale.
