I noticed that you have to reduce your throttle to atleast %60 in order to flare incoming missiles effectively and even then it might not work on GR7.

The problem is how flaring is modeled in game. It is Thrust to flare %. And harrier has a problem, that when it gets slower, it gets more thrust. So the slower you go, the worse is your situation.

Yep, as devs were unable to make VTOL work, they just slapped a ungodly amount of thrust on low speeds, so it works.

All I’m saying is these jets arent getting lighter. Theres only so much you can do to existing airframe - give it better engine, better radar, better missiles, etc.

Yes Typhoon will be good, because it is good.

Literally my point. I believe from their addition Rafale and EFT will stay the kings of WVR (even with F-22 around) based solely on raw performance. Rafale will probably lack a bit due to no HMD until late variants.

You level it with HMD and Aim 9X, and you give the AMSRAAM/IRIS-T to the Typhoon.
Makes any WVR combat equitable then
