Major Update Concept/Pitch - "Call of Mahabharata" - The Indian Nation & Ground Tree

yea im maining Israel rn it shouldnt have been its own TT gaijin is cramming too much assets into the game and being asked to cram more in

It’s not even really about the assets. It’s the fact that Israel was an incomplete tech tree to begin with starting at Rank IV, and there are holes in Israel’s ground/aviation that will never be filled. For ground, you’ve basically got Magachs, Centurions, and Merkavas, and that’s it pretty much it. Air is totally reliant on imported vehicles and going forward it’s just going to be a replica of the US air tree.

They should have just added a bunch of Israeli camos and the Merkavas to the US tree. The US already has 3 Merkavas from events and the Peten.

so buy the tanks in the US TT and potentially buy the grind away in the Israeli TT

smooth gaijin real smooth

sorry but no, most vehicles are copy pastes or slight modifications of already existing vehicles while having like 6 unique vehicles, i would like indian vehicles but in another tree like the british one for example, that one’s getting indian vehicles slowly
also the comparison with china wasn’t fair, it’s not our fault gaijin refuses to add actually unique stuff :((((((((

Explain then

Bruh. Aren’t you a Indian? You should have got the joke here.

Yes but i didnt

Can’t believe I have to explain this to you.

Spoiler

I’m not even a Hindi speaker yet I got the joke XD. He meant the tank’s name sounded like the hindi word abay(not sure how you guys write it). That’s why he said “Abhay ye kya hai” as a joke

I thought of abe for a second but my brain kept reading it as abhay

It obviously isn’t perfect, but I would much prefer to see it this way than integrated into the UK, so +1 from me.

Updated version of the Indian Air TT. Added in a Subtree which contains

  • Afghanistan: India and Afghanistan (aside from the Taliban) has quite good relationships while Afghan-Pakistani relationships is quite poor even when the Taliban is in power. Represented as “AF”
  • Armenia: India and Armenia has very close relationships with each other. Armenia is increasingly buying more weapons of Indian Origins quite recently though not aircraft. Represented as “AM”
  • Sri-Lanka: On the one hand Indian-Sri Lanka relationship is quite poor during the first 2 decades of Sri-Lanka’s independence. On the other hand Indo-Sri Lankan relationships has gotten a lot better and Sri-Lanka has brought some weapons from India. Represented as “SL”
Spoiler

A few things to Note:

  • India had a weapons embargo placed on them by the US throughout most of the cold-war and wasn’t lifted until recently. Because of that India cannot use secondary weapons of American origin. Aircraft that is affected by this includes
Spoiler
  1. B-24’s: Uses British Bombs instead of American ones
  2. Seahawk Mk.100 & 101: Unable to use AIM-9’s with no alternatives that i know of
  3. Toofani (Ouragan) & Mystere-IVA: Cannot use any American ground ordinances since both aircraft can mount them. Will use British counterparts instead. Can still use French ground ordinances
  4. Hunters: Unable to use AIM-9’s with no alternatives that i know of
  5. Sea Harriers: Unable to use AIM-9’s, uses Magic 1 & 2’s instead. The mod.89 variant can also use more powerful Israeli missiles. Finally since you cannot mount 2 Magics on the same plyon, Indian Sea Harriers have to use up 4 plyons to use all of their AAM’s instead of just the two that British Sea Harrier’s have to do
  6. Jaguars: Unable to use AIM-9’s, uses Magic 1 on the GR.1 with the same CM that the GR.1A uses, every other Jaguar will use Magic 2’s instead
  • The Type 77 “Trishul” is a MiG-21PF, normally it does not come with a autocannon however the Indians did tested it with a centreline 23mm autocannon gunpod so it’s addition is possible. The Type 96 is a MiG-21M (export variant of the MiG-21S), can use ECM pods as well like on the MF, was built under license by HAL. The first Type-88 is a Indian built MiG-21bis SAU while the second one is the MiG-21 UPG
  • MiG-27H can use ASM’s as well as it’s original Russian avionics being replaced with French ones. The new avionics as well as some other changes makes the MiG-27H lighter than most other MiG-27’s
  • MiG-23BN will get the large CM’s that the MiG-23MF uses
  • The Squadron Armenian Su-30 lacks advanced AAM’s can only use R-60MK’s & R-73’s for AAM’s hence why it is at a slightly lower BR bracket. Otherwise can use most of not the same ground attack ordinances that the Indian Su-30 uses
  • There will be other weapon changes and differences ontop of that though i’ll disclose them at a later date
  • The Marut Mk.1 BX is now specified to be an Indo-Egyptian vehicles since the upgrades were done by the Egyptians
  • There was 2 attempts to sell the HA-300/HA-P.23 to India, first by the Spanish with India (possibly to continue the project too) though the Indians were not much interested in developing/testing it. The Second attempt was proposed by the Egyptians and this time the Indians did show some interest in it with a couple of IAF pilots sent to Egypt to evaluate the aircraft. Ultimately not accepted for several factors. There is 3 main reasons why i added the HA-300 as a squadron vehicle
Spoiler
  1. Even though India did not adopt this aircraft they did evaluate it extensively. Due to Sweden having an evaluation T-80U, Apache & Mi-28, there is a precedent to add evaluation vehicles into TT’s
  2. India doesn’t has a lot to choose from in terms of aircraft
  3. It is a vehicle that we do not have in game so it is not copy n paste. It also makes it one of the most unique squadron vehicles to date

In fact it’s good concept independent indian tech tree but the issue is gajin have implemented add Vijayanta (premium GE), Bhishma TWMP (squadron vehicle) and Jaguar IS (event vehicle) to UK tree

I have a gut feeling independent indian tech tree can’t go on and might be sub tree for UK

While this is true, there still is hope, as a WT dev did say that there are currently no plans to add 6th lines to TTs, so there still is a fairly decent chance of india becoming its own tree, the only problem I see as mentioned in the post would be moving vehicles from 1 nation to a new one.

This is much better than the original suggestion

Updated TT to v.6, changes include:

  • 21 additional vehicles, bringing total count to now 109 total, now near in size to entire GB tree

  • Changed BRs for certain vehicles

  • Changed some vehicle types in TT.

  • TT “Uniqueness” increased by 5%

  • You can actually see whats in the tree… (wow!)

Unless sub-main country vehicles are added, this may be the final rendition. Options for Other Countries in the TT may be:

  • Sri Lanka

  • Bangladesh

  • Thailand

  • Nepal

  • Indonesia

  • Armenia

  • Afghanistan

  • And Others

Just want to say here thanks to all those who support the tree and have suggested vehicles, and especially my team members who have helped greatly in getting this all together! More is to come!

very nice update!

just a couple nitpicks/questions:

  • What is the ‘Karna’? I thought it was just another name for Tank EX, but you have both in the tree, so what differentiates them?
  • AMX-13 should be 6.7, not 6.3 – the other 2 AMX-13s in game are 6.7
  • Centurion Mk. 3 and Mk. 5 are way too low
    • Both should be 7.7, like the others in game
  • Also curious in what ways the Arjun Mk. 2 (P) is different to the standard Mk. 2, and how there’s 0.7 between them
