Cant even take you seriously when you pull bullshit crap outa nowhere, please look at the tech tree carefully again. India has like 4 unique designs in rank 8 itself, The Arjun, Zorawar, NAMICA and QRSAM.

Please Gaijin, let these people have their own tree.
As cool as their indigenous vehicles are, I don’t want the British tree to get plastered with (modified) russian vehicles

So if you look back to when this suggestion was posted you would see about 15 tanks in it. Now that it’s more fleshed out it looks good.

Those don’t quite look like R.550 missile, they look more Russian in the image (seemingly an R-73)

India should be its own country, whatever way it can. I used to be more against it due to gaps when I made a version of it but if Israel can be a thing with its several Magach’s, I’m sure India can too. I’ve said this already but I’ll say it again.
Anyways as India develops more vehicles, it helps fill its top Rank and gives more basis to the tree. Take the Zorawar Light Tank for instance:

This is a highly unique vehicle that uses advanced weaponry and next-generation composites could be the basis for a tracked-vehicle family like IFV’s, Mortar Carrier’s, Command Vehicles, etc.
Not to mention the Arjun Mk. 1A main battle tank (above), the NAMICA Mk. 1 tank destroyer (below), or the TATA Kestral (bottom).

  • Things could get even more unique if India develops its own version of the GDLS Stryker or TATA Kestral.

Not only these, there would be some more Light tanks built by the private companies in India as JV with foreign providers that would compete with Zorawar for the expanded light tank order. For eg: AVNL has started work on a JV that will produce a light tank based on the Sprut SD and Kalyani is also looking to foray into this with an international partner.

Already progress has started on the new NAMICA Mk 2 turret and with the VSHORAD missiles almost finishing its development trials we can expect new generation of SPAAG in the Indian forces as well.

Moreover based on the current projection we have multiple WHaP, Wheeled tank and FICV designs in prototype stages so those are also expected to be coming in future for Indian Army.

There are some upgrades also planned for the Indian MBTs specific to their engines as a new 1500 HP engine is currently under development which can be fitted to the Arjun and T90. Already a T90 mk 3 upgrade has been developed and under induction while future upgrades related to APS are still under development.

So future of the Indian Tree would be much better as a separate tree rather than with British as that would mean so many vehicles left behind just because they are not unique enough.

+1 Bump plus some updates:

  • Overhaul is nearly done, will be finished likely by the weekend

  • Version 9 will likely be the final rendition of the tree and such, unless i find new stuff…

  • Gotta new project in the works tied to this one (“Winds of Vayu” is a good name for it, no?)

  • Sorry for slower activity, school’s picked up so ive been out lately

Keep suggesting new ground vehicles and such, ill be here!

This is disappointing as it rules out any implementation of the Jaguar IS. I know there’s other variants of it but it still is a blow since if I’m not mistaken, the Jaguar IS in-game is a later variant that would be very beneficial for the tree.
I hope we don’t see any more Indian vehicles as event vehicles so the door is left open for it to be moved out of the British tree.

Doubt that will ever happen, the biggest thing we might get is seperate pages like bluewater /coastal.
But i doubt its gonna be removed once declared a sub tree

Yes they should add India

Nice update!

The images for the DRDO LTs are the wrong way around though, this is the DRDO 90, with the TS 90 turret:

And this is the DRDO 105, with the TK 105 turret, same as on the AMX-10RC:

Yes the T90ms for India is at halt as Russia cannot supply them to India plus there were rumours that Russia Used Indian equipment in Ukraine which were sent for upgrading to Russia.
As of now T90ms for India is bleak but in the future when the bloody war ends maybe India will get a T90ms.

43 minimum unique ground vehicles, 1 of which is a copy-paste of the other [ZTZ-99].

I counted over 32 copy-paste of the image provided with minimal skimming, more than China’s confirmed copy-paste.
And a number of the unique vehicles are copy-pastes of other unique vehicles, which sadly wasn’t a statistic in your post.
I counted 25 confirmed copy-paste in China, and ~6 suspicious tanks.
China’s been in the game for a long time, so I can’t say if France’s M4A4 is copy-paste, or China’s, or neither and both were added at the same time.

Indian T-72M1s upgraded with ‘ESSA-72’ and ‘Sosna-U’ gunner sights circa 2003

A lot of them also got Explosive Reactive Armor Mk. I and a few of them are being tested with Explosive Reactive Armor Mk. II. T-90 Mk. III also supposedly got ERA Mk. II instead of K-5.

Maybe it can start at rank 4 or 5 (just like israel), and u need to have rank 3 vehicles biritish to unlock this nation. Because too much copy paste from british.
