Iglas are more or less the Russian equivalent to a stinger, and they are very close in game too. However, Iglas have a very noticeable downside, which is that the seeker is caged when trying to get a lock, so you can’t lead it at all when you see a target

I think at 9.3 it should be fine, otherwise Soviet players are stuck with the ZSU-23 until 10.0

Basically arguing about which missiles are weak or strong or accurate is sort of besides the point.

A question.

does anyone know anything about trying to improve the air defenses at the lower ranges either a mechanic or something that can at least help them the most?

Because I remember reading in the forum a proposal to help SPAAs in the lower ranks, but I don’t remember the detail of how.

9.3 is fine in a world where the PGZ04A also gets to be 9.3, it just bothers me that the Ozelot is 9.7 and stuff like the Type 93 and Santal are at the same BR as the PGZ and the upcoming ZSU as if having both guns and SAMs wasn’t a huge advantage over just having IR SAMs

As someone who plays the PGZ-04, it is one of my least favorite SPAA’s at that BR range, and I would take almost any other 9.0-10.0 SPAA over it. Unlike Stingers or Iglas, the Chinese Manpads are pretty shit, and you only get 4 of them. And then you get told that this is your only SPAA until 11.3
